In their own words
Worst moving company ever. Owner is very rude and condescending. The packers wreaked of alcohol, they mislabeled boxes, damaged my items, and misplaced the necessary pieces for my bed to be put back together. This move took place several months ago.
Positive: So far I haven’t found anything broken. I would not recommend Spirit Movers to my friends. My #1 request in choosing a mover was that they covered all the bed mattresses. They started loading an undercovered full bed mattress. I asked him to cover, & he said, “They’ll be alright!” He rolled his eyes when I asked him to please cover. Then the king size mattress was covered with such a thin layer of plastic it ripped to many holes. I had to ask again & got the same response. I was treated very poorly.
Hello Barbara, We are truly sorry you did not have a excellent experience with Spirit Movers. We pride ourselves on having wonderful, top notch employees and it is disappointing to know this was not portrayed during your move.
I have used this company many times in the past. This was the most expensive quote and the least amount of furniture - $655? First floor to first floor - easy! I declined the quote and will rent a Uhaul trailer...Price gouging at its finest....just another company doing this....shameful!
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Excellent experience, great value, movers were on time, professional, courteous, fast and careful. I'd highly recommend, they did what they said they would do, when they said they would do it. Thank you Spirit for a great move.
Hello David, We thank you for your feedback and are very happy to know you had an excellent experience using Spirit Movers. Have a wonderful day!
This is my fourth time using Spirit Movers to help move my mother, and they have consistently provided excellent service. The team is professional, efficient, and respectful. Communication with William and Stephanie is always easy—they’re responsive and attentive to any questions or special requests. While all of the movers have been great, I especially want to recognize Smiley and Rome, who handled the last two moves.
There may be other great moving companies in the Sarasota/Bradenton area, but I'm sure none better than Spirit Movers. When our father moved rather quickly from independent to assisted living they were timely and terrific in assisting us to split and store orders for one sister living locally, another in Texas and myself in South Carolina.
Spirit Movers is an absolute top-of-the-line number one moving company ! Smiley and Sherwen Were the two that moved me and I received the absolute best five star service imaginable… Literally without exaggeration before they entered my home when they delivered the furniture they rolled out this red material that was A representation of a Red Carpet to protect my floor… So I called it the red carpet service !!! They are highly professional elite movers.
