The rating breakdown
4 of the 28 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for Herk's Moving are one or two star.
Worked out from 28 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.
Against other listings in Dayton
9.2 percentage points higher than the middle of the 19 listings in Dayton we can publish a rate for.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
Excellent responsiveness, excellent moving team, great pricing. Jared, Brian, Davion, were efficient, hard working, and finished my move about 2 hours earlier than expected, with no damage and in a friendly manner. We are lucky to have this company in Dayton!
Hi, Frank. Thanks for taking the time to share your five star feedback! Delivering exceptional moving services is always a top priority. This means being safe, timely, and going the extra mile every time. We truly appreciate you!
I was able to get a hold of Herks the day I called. Matt (the owner) was extremely responsive and worked with me as I was trying to move around a close date that wasn’t solidified when first approaching him. He was up front with the rate for moving, no hidden fees or extra charges at the end. The guys handling my stuff took care and moved everything where I want. They also helped with rearranging when we got into the house and decided something didn’t fit right where we thought.
Thank you Rob our goal is to take the stress out of the moving process. We aim to be Dayton's best movers.
The crew showed up ready to get me moved out of my apartment after I had called and spoke with Matt last minute when the other moving company I was expecting told me they had me scheduled for the next day. I checked my messages I sent and I was correct they were wrong. With all my boxes ready to go Matt and his crew got me out of the apartment on time, the landlord and new tenants were happy too. Herks saved the day.
Thank you for your kind words. We are always here for last minute moves.
I would strongly recommend this company for any of your moving needs. They are very friendly, courteous, professional, organized, and made the whole experience a breeze. They took extra precaution to ensure my furniture was taken care of, went above and beyond, and it was a relief to get settled in with nothing broken, or damaged. Matt was great to work with and kept me informed of all changes with the drivers schedule, explained all the billing/costs, and followed up to see how his guys did.
Thank you so much Michelle for your accurate, detailed, and kind review. Herk's Moving strives to make the moving experience as pleasant and seamless as possible. We pride ourselves on the title: Dayton's best movers.
