Overall rating of Planes Moving & Storage of Dayton: Very poor, untrustworthy. The employees of Planes Moving & Storage employed displayed a basic lack of integrity and commitment to avoiding responsibility for damages caused to my property. I have moved a lot during my 18 years of military service and this was the worst company I ever dealt with. Unprofessional, unorganized, passive aggressive and dishonest. They showed up late, were not organized, and the foreman was not even on site until the afternoon. One of the crew said that the foreman and himself work out every day at a gym, and the day prior they worked all day then worked out for many hours at the gym, which is why the foreman is only driving the truck that day.

Moved from Ohio to Louisiana, the pack out team in Ohio was great! I got a full service move and these guys managed to wrap, box up, load, and store my entire household in one day. The trouble started on delivery day when the United truck driver relayed that he left a bookshelf in Ohio because it didn't fit on the truck. I called my coordinator, who had been very responsive and informative, to ask about scheduling another delivery. She knew nothing of this nor did the Planes operations team.

I wish I could give zero stars. Planes moving and storage is the worst moving service in Dayton. They've twice botched our military moves. The management office will not make a single effort to help you. Do yourself and your family a favor and litterally look anywhere else...seriously anywhere else. I will reach out...at my convenience. Because when we needed help, your front office told me, "we can't help you." For a week my son didn't have preserved breast milk.

I don't even want to give any stars. Probably the worst moving company. The packers broke my bed frame and foundation not even an hour into the packing out of pure negligence. Out of all the 10 packers we had, only 2 were professional. The others were kids who were mostly talking and messing around. When we arrived to our destination the packers who unloaded our things said whoever packed the crates did a horrible job because the way things were stacked.

I hired them to load a U-haul. The guys were nice and responsive to what I wanted, so I left them alone to do their work. At the end, I saw that the back of the track still had a lot of room and only a mattress was holding the load in. I also saw a lot of heavy items placed on top of other items. I knew that was gonna be trouble but it was too late. Sure enough when I got to my destination, all the stuff on top fell down below. I haven’t opened boxes yet but I’m afraid there’s gonna be some broken items.

After unpacking our stuff and the move, edited the 5 star review to 2 stars. Our monitors were packed with other items into one box, no protections. We had damaged items that should have been wrapped better. But they'll wrap a 2 dollar ceramic decoration and not wrap an individual expensive item. They also gave us the wrong sized mattress protectors, and didn't bother to put them on. Just left. They finished our packing 1 day early, and it caused loading day to last way too long. More could have been done.

I am currently waiting for the movers after being 5 hours late with absolutely no communication. They confirmed yesterday they would show up in the morning and no one showed up after no contact. My card has also already been charged. Moving is a very stressful time and this seems like an unacceptable thing to drop the ball on. I understand things come up but zero contact after hours of follow up calls is disappointing. I hope someone from Planes reaches out to make this right.
