I used Highlands Moving in June . Too many things went wrong to list, it was a terrible experience.The movers were late to show up I was told they would be at the house for 8 and they didn't show up until 10. They are so expensive i didnt even have that much things in the townhouse it was was a 3 berdoom most of the stuff were all disassembled and gone and it was a small 2 level townhouse no basement to take over to put in a 10x10 foot storage costed me over 1000 dollars. DID NOT EXPECT IT TO BE THAT EXPENSIVE.

The crew that picked our stuff up in sparwood bc was amazing and professional. I’d give them a 5 star but the crew that dropped off in tumbler ridge was a 1 star. They had fights amongst them which resulted in damage to our new couch. They were disrespectful to my wife and we had 2 of the 4 of our brand new winter tires go missing. It’s not right that I should have to go through insurance to get my couch fixed or the missing / stolen tires replaced.

We unfortunately used Highland for a move out and move in. The move out took three hours. After receiving an invoice for five hours, and calling them on the over charge, they grudging agreed to make the change. The move in was even more challenging. We only had 3 hours to use the elevator for moving. Halfway thru the time, we noticed only one of the three men was doing anything. We talked to the other two and found them cleaning out their truck and generally doing nothing.

This year we moved from Calgary to Edmonton and Highland was hired to do our moving. I am shocked and devastated by what we went through with their company. Rather than delivering our packed items shortly after our move, or even an acceptable time after our move, Highland held onto our items for ten days. They would not deliver our items back to us for ten days! When arranging our move, we were told it would be much sooner than that.

They were told there was a treadmill to move - it got left behind because apparently even though I had TWO trucks and TWO crews coming to move me, they didn’t have anyone there that could move it. The crew quit at 5 pm despite a LOT of still being in the 2,100 sq ft home. And they took over an hour for lunch on my dime. And they overcharged me including adding boxes I never received/used. I went with the recycled boxes - I was supposed to be reimbursed for what I returned.

They underestimate their hours, consequently they charge way too much; they broke things, they put boxes in wrong places. Their follow up customer service is poor, phone calls not returned, no acknowledgment of poor service. I would not recommend this moving company. I am a single senior and was not expecting to have to move heavy items up flights of stairs myself. I arranged for Highland to pack fragile things to ensure safety, I had many breakages, scuffs on new walls, and an outrageous bill at the end of it.

I will never move with them again! I paid $1500 for them to do the packing only to have 5 items broken - who puts a wine glass at the bottom of a box? They don't move on the weekend unless you pay more and couldn't guarantee an actual day …
