They use the word “our movers” in their description of service....they always advertised as a family owned and operated company....Hilford takes the lowest bidder and charges you top dollar. After paying nearly $24,000 for an interstate move, we are left with broken furniture, missing items and boxes belonging to another customer! Worst moving experience EVER! Don’t waste your time or money,! They used “Beverly Hills Moving and Storage” and they were awful, unprofessional and careless!

In town move they did not do what they said they would do. Showed up late and not prepared for the move they agreed to do. Had to provide them with tools including a cart for furniture. Workers they sent didn’t work much. Then when the could not finish they wanted to charge overtime. This company is not trustworthy to do what they say they will do.
DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH HILLFORD MOVING. They lost 16 boxes, broke several items, being very rude and overcharged for their services.
We recently moved from Santa Barbara to Utah. Pete Cresto, the salesperson at Hilford was one of those guys who seemed so sincere. Lived and died for customer service. And truly, he gave us good customer service until we signed the sales agreement to use his company. After that, he never returned a phone call. The moving van driver rushed the packing team because he had his family in the cab, and was eager to get on his way (he was taking them with him across the country to go on vacation).
WARNING! DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY NO MATTER WHAT YOU DO! ZERO STARS IF WE COULD.....We hired this company to move our belongings into our garage during a remodel and move a few things to an apartment nearby. FIRST, nothing was wrapped or covered and stored properly in our garage. When asked why the movers simply said "Well that would mean more work." I literally would folllow them and cover things myself like couches, chairs, etc.
I recognize a cross state move is multiple entities. But My move was poorly managed from end to end and my stuff was manhandled by Hilford moving and storage. They lost stuff and Damaged EVERY single piece of furniture they took apart and moved. The driver and loading team on the other end was no better. They were left Scrambling to find parts and they ultimately just left me with what they could.
We used Hilford to move out of state and had a lot of issues. First, the moving crew significantly damaged our previous home, including a hole in the wall, gouging a wood door, and scrapes on walls and floor. Second, items were left behind by mistake. Third, I was led to believe that a van would be picking up our items; instead Hilford came with a small truck and moved items to their warehouse. It was a full 14 days before we saw our items.
They were great in the sales process but terrible in the execution. Had a lot of broken furniture and household items because they did not wrap it properly or at all. They put some furniture including a mirror on the truck without any …

Top notch work, from the super accurate estimate by Pete Cresto to the hard work, professionally done, by David and his team, including Tony, Jerry, Pete and Jose. We were not as finished with the packing as we had hoped, but these guys dug in, carefully wrapped and moved all our items carefully, checking to be sure everything went to the right place.
Had a great experience with the company as my wife and I moved from California to Chicago. We were initially moving to North Dakota, but as plans changed, Steve was very accommodating as we were going through periods of complete uncertainty. Once settled on Chicago, our truck arrived a few days after us with everything intact, not a single broken or damaged item. Steve was super communicative through the whole process and made a cross-country move very easy.

In March 2023 I hired Hilford Moving to relocate items from one location to another, only to find that another company that we had previously hired left quite a mess behind. We had Noe's crew for the move, and you could not ask for a more professional, friendly and thoughtful group of guys. Alex & his team were amazing! Through them, the whole process was seamless and I felt very reassured and comforted with my household items in their hands.
