BEWARE!!! Using Unique Moving and Storage services has been a nightmare. A resolution to this problem has gone on since March 2024 and yet they still refuse to compensate for DAMAGING our items, horrible customer service, but most importantly our damaged and STOLEN items. We had moved from Ventura to Northern California. We had two concerns; 1) The house we were moving into has a crème colored carpet that we did not want damaged and 2) That Rodney unpack and set up our TV's at the new home. Unique promised us both that the carpet would not be damaged and that they would unpack our TV's and put them on our furniture.
This was 5 to 6 years ago and there was a lot of verbal discussions back then. We have new processes now that is documented on the estimate to give the customer details about their job and the communication so we do not run into an issue like this again.
I chose Unique Moving & Storage because of its excellent online reviews. Unfortunately, my experience was very different, and I hope sharing it helps future customers make an informed decision. I scheduled a local move between two homes less than 1,000 feet apart. My estimate was for a three-person crew with a 2.5-hour minimum, and it included moving a baby grand piano as a specialty item. On moving day, two movers arrived, even though my estimate listed a three-person crew.

Terrible first impression for customer service. A representative named Jayson called me 4 times in a row within 2 minutes the morning after I used the website to contact for a quote. He then proceeded to follow up with an email and a text message immediately afterwards. Ok, fine; I can understand following up with an email after calling a number. He then proceeded to email me again just 4 hours later. I finally returned his call in the evening.

It took me a minute to decide to write this because i wanted to let eveything sink in. Idk who all these other people had moving their stuff but the 2 guys that showed up to move my stuff took 1 hour to take apart the easiest Ikea bed frame ever but I guess when u r charging someone 200 bucks an hour ur gonna take ur sweet time. I was so disappointed with the amount of stuff they moved and how much I paid. I felt ripped off and taken advantage of. Do urself a favor hire someone else.
