In The Nick Of Time Moving

My experience with Nick of Time was very unprofessional. I would highly recommend not using this company. A representative delayed my inquiry process for ~30 days while I made repeated attempts to obtain a quote and schedule a safe move. After I left a voicemail i was informed the company would communicate with me by texting. When I finally obtained a quote and scheduled a move date, hours later I was instructed to pay in full and in advance of the move.

I just had my safe moved and it was way less than satisfactory. They lost a tire on their trailer so showed up with just a pickup, they then loaded my safe, 1100lbs, on its back in the pickup. My wife was at home and I was not, I was waiting for delivery at our new home. They showed up and stood it up out of the bed of the truck, it was scratched all the way to the metal on the entire back of the safe. There were scratches and paint missing where they had strapped it down.

Don't hire this absolute joke of a company! For starters, they make you pay in full before even scheduling any service. Hired them to move a boiler from a trailer in front of the building to the basement, only 1.25 straight flights of stairs, less than 200 feet of total distance. They originally shower up when they said they would, just 2 guys with a regular appliance dolly for an almost 700lb boiler unit.

I was planning to buy a safe and the store called Nick of Time for us to get the delivery set up before I made the purchase. The store called them and gave me the phone, the information was taken and a price that was twice the advertised price was quoted. I needed it delivered, so I agreed to the price. I was told someone from delivery would call me and set up the delivery time and date. After a week with no contact, I called back to Nick of Time, and was transferred to the local moving company in my state.

I contacted Nick of Time previously about 6 months ago about moving a safe from my garage to my basement. The move could be accomplished via on outdoor route directly to a basement door with sufficient clearance. At their request, the company had me take photos and show measurements. Afterward, the never replied. After the winter, i decided to give them one last shot. They stated they would send out a "professional moving crew", but "couldn't guarantee success". However, they charged me up front for the move.

I was told by In the nick of time that they might not be able to get my safe into the basement with their equipment, which was fine because we own a skid loader and I had a plan if they couldn't get it. I was told by the company that if they couldn't get it then the movers were going to stick around and help with my plan. When they got there they told me they couldn't because it was a 'huge insurance liability issue'', which was NOT what I was told on the phone.

In the Nick of Time Moving basically stole my money. They did not do the job they were hired for, they charged me, and they have not responded to phone calls or e-mails regarding this issue. I had a safe that I needed moved into my new home. The day before the move, I e-mailed them pictures of the path to the destination room with my concerns that moving the safe to this location might not be possible. I did not receive a response. The day of the move, they came to move the safe while I was at work.

This is pertaining to a safe delivery from Liberty Safe of Southwest Pa. Disappointed from start to finish. There was a price discrepancy between the quote and actual cost. I did not qualify for the floor model price and the factory rebate. I expected both and only got the rebate. Owner did not take responsibility for the delivery fiasco that occured and he told me it was the purchasers responsibility despite the fact that he arranged it.
