Robbed! Instorage Torrance Is Not A Secure building! My unit was robbed! No cameras anywhere inside the storage building, only a few outside. When I arrived on September 15, 2023, the lock on my unit had been replaced with a management lock. I was told by a staff member that on September 1st she found no lock on my unit and placed a gold manager lock on the unit.

I tried to store several boxes with memorabilia from my dead husband in the storage I share with our son. I was treated like a low down criminal, by a very rude and nasty employee. I have not been treated this bad by anybody. My experience was devastating.

the facilities are fine, Their hours and staffing issues are ABSOLUTELY WORST though. They have been cutting their opening hours year after year, and are constantly closed during every single minor holidays out there. Once got trapped within the facility because the staff had clocked out 10 minutes ago, and had to wait a good 30-40 min to get out. They cannot do simple billing/renewal work because the manager is not there, and had to come back THREE TIMES to finally see her.

They don’t value their old customers of many years. Constantly offer great deals & cut rate rent prices to new customers while raising the rent yearly for old customers. When I see their ads, I am embarrassed that I let it happen. We have been there for 11 years & now paying over $730.00 more per year than when we started. They know it is an ordeal to move so they have you “over a barrel”. You must give them a Declarations page from your Homeowners Policy yearly or they will add insurance to your monthly rent.

I store some stuff here. When picking up a few things, I realize that rain was going into the unit. I notified management. I called a week later to see if anything had been done because it was rainy again, and they said no nothing had been done. It’s been over a week and I’m told it will be another week before they get maintenance to look at the problem. For Two weeks there’s rain going into my unit. They also told me there’s Nothing they will do and that I just need to go through my own insurance.

Had a storage here. They lack cameras. Only a few outside. No cameras inside. I had a good lock on mine. And someone cut the bracket to get into my storage to steal my things. The cameras caught nothing. The torrance pd officer that did my case said they have constant break ins. Not to mention they dont help you with the insurrance claim. I been dealing with mine for months and they keep asking for a ton of paperwork. Wouldnt the police report be enough.

This storage facility is overpriced and the gate hours are too short. The temperature inside the storage areas is always hot and stuffy because there is no AC or insulation seperation from the roof which is warehouse type structure, high ceilings and no airflow at all. Some type of air seperation or insulation should have been installed for the ceiling to help block the hot sun. Also some circulating would have been nice

I called to see if I could rent a storage garage 30 minutes before they closed, the lady said they were closing already! Didn't even care about the possibility of a new customer! I would imagine their customer service after that is worse!!!
