Two stars is generous but it is mainly for Chris and how he handled the initial call and the crews on both ends that worked very hard- So many scheduling snafus and changes in pricing original change was $1000 after I had the truck weighed it was only $250 or so higher. They may be a solid local mover but I don't think they are a cross country firm.

I requested packing and moving services for Oct 19, 2025. The events that happened on that day were not professional and I deeply regret requesting the services of Walsh Moving & Storage. The two men that arrived and explained to me some of the process and proceed to move some of my already packed boxes. They opened my already packed boxes to put more things. A mover, Dwayne, said he needed to use my bathroom.

SHARK ALERT This company packed, stored and then delivered my stuff. Positive: they showed up on time and overall did good work. However, for both packing and unpacking I was charged more than the quote. For packing, despite a detailed walk-through on which the quote was based, I was charged more than 50% greater than the quote. When I challenged this XXX was condescending.

Hired this company through a recommendation of a good friend of 35 years who retired from his own Moving Company in the South Bay. From the very beginning I advised the owner Thomas “Tom” R. Sapper that he would have to obtain a “Moving Permit” from the City for $80.00 or could be looking at a potential fine of up to $1,000. & Penalty Assessments ( approximately an additional $2,300. ) if someone from his Company did not pick one up from City Hall, which was open at the time.

My name is Londy. My son found this company, supposedly through interviews, which was a huge mistake! It was a terrible experience. They are unpunctual, extremely expensive, and work very slowly just to make up for lost time. They are also terrible at organizing; they throw everything in however they feel like it. I urgently needed to move from my home in Harbor City to Storage Extra Space in Wilmington City, and I rented a 10x10 storage unit, which was enough for everything I owned.

I just had a run-in with one of the drivers of this company around 8:30 pm on Sept 2 2014. I was driving down the narrow Hoffman Ave and noticed a large truck coming the opposite way. I found a place to pull over so that he may pass. He pulled up beside me and asked if I was moving, I replied yes. Apparently I did not reply to his satisfaction and he became to become verbally aggressive. I told him to move on and let me go on my way. He then blocked me in, got out of his truck and verbally assaulted me.

The move started well they loaded my whole house in 2 and 1/2 hours and the drive time was not that bad. It all went wrong on the unload, and YOU MUST READ the fine print. your bill will included there three breaks and them to take a 1/2 hour lunch and at 135 per hour that is expense time. Also if they damage any of your items you are out of luck and lie about the repair and claim process.

So these guys were pretty terrible. From a grumbling and complaining crew, not delivering on services and ruining a bunch of things. They were hired to pack, move and unpack. During their packing they did things like put free weights on top of plastic containers so the containers broke. They put packing tape on the back of framed paintings woth painted backs which destroyed the art. They broke a TV and didn't unpaack anything.
