See my Yelp review for the full long tale and photos. I reached out to Island Movers ten days after the move, to give them a fair chance to respond before I left reviews. Four days later was told they had not spoken with their crew yet. Inquired again two weeks after the move, but they never replied, so here we go.
I just realized I gave the Island movers the wrong review. Here is an honest review about my move on Friday 04/29/2022 They arrived on time but granted I picked up the wrong size of track. They were pleasant and friendly. We worked out a time for them to return at 12 noon and help me finish the move. They did not return to help move until 1.5 hours later. They did not bother to call and let me know they will be running late. I called several times after 12 noon to check up on them.
Thank you for sharing! These movers no longer work for the company as they did not meet the standards of this business. I am sorry that this happened to you as we carry alot of pride with being the best moving company in the nebraska region.
Do not have them pack or store any belongings unless you can supervise them closely. Boxes not marked properly if at all. Boxes that went in storage were not turned so that labels were facing out. 2 chairs were left outside in the dirt! Cushions to a sofa were not removed and stored with heavy items piled on top of it. I fear my sofa cushions are ruined. Can’t find items that should have gone in apartment. We will now have to take everything out of storage in order to find missing household items.

Movers arrived on time, i don't think they calculated correctly on the amount of furnishings to be moved. They seemed to not understand the need to wrap and carefully handle some of my items. My Grandfather clock was severely damaged and I had to have a clock repair service repair it. The company did not reimburse me for the full cost of the repair. I was disappointed that I ended up having to pay for their neglectful handling!

Tried their online estimate several times, never received an email or call. Tried calling several times, didn't receive a response to my messages. Finally got an answer on the phone after a week, they said they tried calling me, but I never received a call or voice mail. I wanted a gun safe delivered and they refused.
I'm sorry to say that, after a good experience with this company last year, I requested a quote for loading services well over two weeks ago and still haven't gotten a response. I ended up going with someone else local who was immediately responsive to my request.

I sold my baby grand piano to a family friend and they chose to go with Island Moving. 4 guys and the owner came to my house promptly at the agreed time and wrapped the piano up to safely move. They moved it out without any damage. When done I asked if they could give me a price to move my tv from downstairs to upstairs and they went to take a look. They said sure and moved it upstairs for me. This is a 98in 7.5ft wide 4ft tall tv. They got it upstairs without any issues.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent Moving Company! We had a fantastic experience with Island Moving. The crew arrived on time, worked efficiently, and handled all our belongings with extreme care — zero damage. They were professional, friendly, and great communicators throughout the entire move. Highly recommend them for stress-free moving. We’ll definitely use them again!
Local Business doing what they can to serve the community they are from at a fair and reasonable price. Owners are understanding and willing to do what it takes to make things right, with in reason. I don't need to price them out because they are always our go to.
Joey and his crew moved my mother from a Hastings house to an Omaha Senior Living apartment. In Omaha they had to deal with a busy elevator and transport through long halls plus it was a rainy, terrible day to move. But they got it done with a smile and professionalism. We did box ourselves, but they did a great job with open containers, plants, mirrors and furniture with clothing still in the drawers. Thanks for a great job done!
