In their own words
The price was good and two of the guys were excellent, Jay Ladd and Tony. Otherwise I'm very unhappy. Granted we had a big move, two houses into one. The problems started with estimate; the size of the load was underestimated, the dates were wrong, promises were made but not communicated to the actual moving crew, and there was a lot of last-minute scrambling. Nothing was written down during the estimate process which should have been my first clue.
What satisfied customers point to
The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

In their own words
This year was my second time hiring the Ladd crew, first for unloading last year and loading this year and they were excellent. Pleasant, punctual, professional, communicative and efficient, would highly recommend to anyone!
Just completed a local move with JE Ladd and have only great things to say about this company and their people. Careful, thorough, good-natured, helpful and GREAT at what they do. Anyone who moves knows how traumatic the moving experience is in general - working with JE Ladd removed a lot of the trauma due to their can-do attitude and their extensive knowledge of moving. Due to this knowledge, they don't waste time or effort, resulting in a price that really reflects their value.
The best moving experience. Jay and his crew took great care of us and our things. Kind, courteous, respectful and reliable. Great value for service. You will not be disappointed!
I have moved many times, often complicated moves involving large homes, family of 5, several pets and cars, including cross-country moves. It can be challenging and involves lots of organization. After many years of moving with a variety of moving companies, I moved recently using a company that exceeded my highest expectations.
