I requested a quote on their website - no reply. Two weeks later I sent an email to the address listed on their website - no reply. One week later I called them - someone answered, took down a few details and gave a price quote, but seemed extremely disinterested and told me to just email them (again) with the details. So I did, and I got a reply saying the move was booked (I never asked them to book- I was still trying to get a firm quote and figure out timing).
Hello Matt, We appreciate your feedback and understand your frustration. First and foremost, our customers are our top priority and we apologize that the person who answered your call seemed disinterested as that is not how our customers moving needs should be met.
I would not recommend. They dropped our hutch, broke the glass in it, damaged the wood door to where it no longer closes, left a huge ding in our wood floor and put a huge gouge in our drywall in a place that we can’t reach and will require a professional to come fix. As they were leaving and charging us they didn’t offer a single penny off. When we asked, what do we do about our stuff they offered $75.00 off. All of these repairs are easy $300 or more. The hutch itself is over 50 years old, maybe more.

Scam! Do not book with them, especially through Groupon. My fiance booked these crooks and they've taken our money and have refused to respond to him. Now we have been majorly inconvenienced. He even tried to show up at the address listed. And just as I told him ... These crooks DO NOT HAVE AN ACTUAL BUSINESS NOR BUILDING. Book these crooks if you enjoy being played and having your money taken. I will be reporting you crooks to the better business bureau. Now watch they change their name.
J Lopez charged me 7% sales tax on my residential move. I called them to tell them that there is no sales tax on services in the state of Indiana and they said everybody does it, have a nice day. I checked with the Indiana department revenue to make sure I was correct and they agreed there's no sales tax so if you're going to hire these folks be careful as not all movers charge 7% sales tax and L Lopez should not be doing it either.

I purchased a groupon for the moving service. I filled out their online request form and I have yet to receive a response. I tried going to their office but the address they have on their site is to a house. I've called multiple times over and over again but no one picks up. I left a voice mail and no one has called back. If you are looking for a mover, do not use J Lopez Moving.

The entire process was great. The 2 movers showed up on time. They were very professional, kind, and hard workers. This was my first time hiring a moving company, but I definitely plan to use them for all my moves in the future.
Moving can be a harrowing experience sometimes. This was my 1st time using movers and was very nervous. Anticipated a Murphy's law situation all the days leading up to The Day. The reservation process went well, itemized all yo be moved and chose the flat rate option. On moving day, movers were late arriving but I was notified in advance and assured of the new time. Movers showed up as promised. They assessed the rooms and began the process.
We have used Lopez Moving 4 to 5 times now over the years and they have always been superb. Very accommodating, communicative, go above and beyond and most of all, very reasonably priced. I have and will recommend them without any hesitation.
My movers were a male and female duo and in short, they did the damn thing! They had the right equipment to do the job and were working smart! I paid a lot less for this move than what other companies would have charged and the job was done with the same care! The team ran out of room on the truck and we need to go back to retrieve the items and I wasn't charged an exorbitant amount, which made me very happy! If I ever have to move in town and would I be likely to use JLopez movers, solid yes!
