In their own words
I would not recommend this moving company to my “worst enemy.” It was a fiasco from the beginning when a designated local moving company affiliated with Wheaton packed some of my belongings for shipment. After a bit, the packers stopped identifying what packed boxes contained, their truck broke down and blocked my driveway for a couple of hours which held up the moving van, and a they displayed a complete unwillingness to communicate with me. There was more, but I’m sure I have already made my point.
Kathy, we sincerely regret that your move caused such stress and inconvenience. Your interstate move concluded once delivery was made to your self-storage unit. At the conclusion of your move, you received an email containing a link to … More
I wish that I could give them negative stars. I’ve moved 5 times over the past 10-15 years for work and this company is by far the worst at handling their customer’s belongings. They broke our sleep number bed, a table, and a neon sign that I paid an extra fee to have crated up for “protection”. I’ve uploaded pictures of each of these broken items and I’m afraid that we’ll continue to find more damage as we get all of our belongings unpacked. After one of the local unloading reps.
We had an out-of-state move where our belongings needed to be in storage for three weeks. We were very disappointed at the way this got handled so we would not recommend this moving company. The movers came earlier than the given arrival window which was great because they were short staffed and therefore, took more time than expected. Nonetheless, the furniture was meticulously wrapped and the loading went well. On delivery day, all the furniture somehow got unwrapped and most of them got dismantled into pieces.
Justine, we deeply regret the experience you had with your move. We take your feedback seriously and would appreciate the opportunity to discuss the situation further and make things right. Please reach out to our claims department at … More
I've never given a negative review before and Google won't allow zero stars. Wheaton Worldwide Moving and their affiliates are the Worst. Movers. Ever. And they are self-insured so forget about getting reimbursed for the destruction of your possessions. If you have a choice between Wheaton/Bekins and throwing your possessions in the garbage. Choose garbage. Much less stressful. Driver was rude and contractors were largely unprofessional and unorganized. We regret choosing them every day.
Thanks for not showing up to my home to load it up on the day you were suppose to...is this how you treat your military moves? No show, no communication left me and my family high and dry. Some professionalism.
We appreciate you reaching out, David. If you would please email us at [email removed], we will be sure to get to the bottom of things.
My experience with Wheaton/Bekins was deeply disappointing. Several items were lost during transit, and others arrived damaged despite proper packing procedures. What compounded the frustration, however, was the lack of genuine accountability from their customer support. I specifically attempted to resolve the matter through their claims process, only to find that Debbie Garrison, the internal claims adjuster responsible for handling such matters—appeared focused solely on exonerating the company rather than…

This is one of your drivers refused to move so I can get my trailer. I asked him nicely to move but he kept calling me rookie (been driving 33 years, ) and that he wasn't moving . He then laughed at me and again called me rookie and said if …
Thank you for bringing this to our attention, Dennis. The behavior you’ve described is completely unacceptable and does not align with Wheaton’s commitment to professionalism and respect. We’re very sorry for your experience and will be addressing this situation with urgency.
They were unprofessional, overpriced and lost our furniture and rugs. They said they would compensate us but didn’t. I highly recommend you do not use them.
Hello Patricia, we're disappointed to hear that your experience with our company was less than stellar. If you would, please email us at [email removed] so we can look back into the issue.

In their own words
Wheaton has been used by the company I work for, for years. From the salesperson to packers, loaders and driver, communication was excellent. Schedule for pack, load, travel and delivery were followed to the "T". Packers and loaders were respectful of our property. The driver, Jay, gave us his personal phone number so we could stay in touch and know when people were arriving at both the home we packed and to the new home in a new state. Jay shared stories of other moves and his personal life.
The bid was accurate, the information was accurate, the movers were capable, careful and easy to work with. If we asked for a furniture placement change, in this case the piano, they were cheerful about re-moving it. They were prompt, quick, and dependable. I would recommend these guys over and over. Our crew was David White out of Fulton, MO.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience, Billie! We wish you all the best making music in your new home.
This is a review for loading. I won’t be able to rate delivery, as they will be delivering to a warehouse for our household goods. (Military). Reggie and Lee-Ann brought 5 guys with them and arrived at 8am sharp! Their inventory, efficiency, care for our goods, and kindness was exquisite! This move will be our 5th move in 6 years and this has been our best load yet!
Thanks so much for the photo review, Crystal! Five moves in six years is impressive. We're happy to help with the heavy lifting!
Dave, our driver and team lead, was very professional, friendly, knowledgable, and efficient with our move. Both his Indy & Chicago team assistants were also vey polite and efficient and took great care in handling our belonging during our interstate move.
