Our household goods have still not been delivered. No one returning calls. Husband driving from Michigan back to California to try and speak with them in person. It's been nearly a month since they picked up our things in CA. Sleeping on the floor, had to buy dishes and flatware, pans, etc. Horrible service. The crew that picked everything up was great, but trying to get my property delivered is beginning to feel like we will never see it again. UPDATE; Delivery of household goods took months.
I would give this negative stars if I could. Please do not use this company. I had nothing short of a terrible experience using Jet Moving and Storage. Firstly, they pulled the old bait and switch technique and gave me one price and showed up saying the cost would be 3k more than the original quote I was given. They basically told me that it was my fault for not knowing what a cubic foot measurement was and I hadn’t given them accurate cubic foot measurement, even though I had provided them with my inventory.
Negative star is appropriate. Quote you a price per cubic foot and when moving day arrived a different company showed up. They told me I was over c.f. I actually had less items than I was quoted for. They raised price 500$. Of course was told this after they loaded my stuff. Charged me extra for packing my floor lamps when it was quoted in with original quote. 60$ per lamp. They told me my stuff would be with their company in their truck whole way to destination. None of this was true.
Don’t waste your time and money with this company. They will give you a lowball quote to draw you in and then nickel and dime you with hidden fees and nonsense charges. I used them for a long distance move and their final total ended up being over $2000 more than their quote even though I made sure my items matched the description I provided when getting the quote.
I would give them a minus 100 if I could. They rip you off by charging more than they quoted. We gad a discussion about what was to be moved..we discussed number of boxes and bins. not the size. They didn't mention a $500 administration fee, that I would be sharing a truck or that I would not be receiving my belongings the same day. The initially quoted me $1415 for a move from Simi Valley CA to Las Vegas. In order to have my own truck and same day delivery I agreed to pay an additional $1500.
These people take advantage of the elderly and woman...because they can. They charged my aunt 4,000 dollars to move from Victorville Ca to Pahrump N V. They raised the price ...of course. They had no order... placing things any where in the storage shed. After un loading They came back to our home to drop off the jacuzzi. They had been paid to bring it in the back and place it on the patio. The moving man was so nasty... I found myself cussing and wondering what I could do.
STAY AWAY - A COMPLETE RIP OFF!!!! I setup my move with the rep where I provided a very detailed list of items I needed moved. On pickup day (which was 1 day later than what I requested) the moving company told me that I had more cubic feet than was estimated. I explained my discussion with the rep which included exactly what I was shipping (number and size of boxes, bed size, etc.). Also I paid Jet Movers a $1040 deposit which was listed as $500 service, $500 admin fee, and $40 debit card fee.
They jacked my price up 150% even though there were 2 large items I took off the inventory. I had a few more bins but not $10,000 worth. They showed up at 8 pm to load my things. Horrible company. I would not use them They also say they're …
