I usually never leave reviews, especially not bad ones. However I recieved such terrible service from this company, the first "professional" movers I've ever hired, that I just felt it needed to be shared. They started off on the wrong foot when they showed up more than an hour late and to the wrong address! Then they were so unprepared that the lead mover showed up in flip flops.

I wouldn't recommend Clay or his company to anyone. It's very disheartening the experience I've had with him as far as customer service goes. Some of my personal items are taken without my knowledge, and even after sending video proof I was assumed to be a liar because Clay finds it "hard to believe" that his staff could be capable of that. My things didn't just grow legs and walk away. To make matters worse, my son's playpen wasn't just damaged but broken and now completely unsafe so it can't be used.

The movers arrive late. I was quoted one price and it was almost double by the time they slow walked my move. There were not enough moving pads brought so they left for about an hour to buy more. This meant they weren’t loading the truck and they didn’t take my belongings down waiting for the truck to return. The supervisor said they left things in my apartment saying that they were afraid it was going to rain. But there was no rain. The movers left trash from their drink cups around my place and in my driveway.

I had them move my stuff from my apartment into a storage facility. They moved pretty quickly, but they did leave empty water bottles on the floor in my apartment. Yesterday I went to retrieve my belongings from the storage facility and I’m disappointed. My mother’s mattress has a hole in it, as well as the back of her dresser, and my table is broken.
Very poor value for money. Customer service was matter of fact, doesn’t care if you give them the business or not. But on day of the move 1 of the 2 movers was unable to help, so spent 3 hours in the moving van. They were unable to find a replacement for him. Despite this, they charged me the quoted amount. I had to help and do a lot of the move myself so they didn’t run up the bill more than they were doing already. Luckily the other worker was the bomb, worked non-stop to help me through this bad situation.
If I could give them 0 stars i would. Just when I thought I picked the best moving services … I ended up with a broken TV, MIND YOU this TV was plugged in and up working when they came to pack it up. I went to plug it in to mount it and there’s a whole crack on the side and the TV does not even show no picture! AND NO REIMBURSEMENT NOTHINGGGG but everything was good until then. Great people, but there’s no way i’m going to take a loss from this.
Absolutely horrific move. They showed up 1 1/2 hours late, in an unbranded Enterprise rental box truck, reeking of pot, took their truck to lunch with our possessions and disappeared for almost 2 hours after only being at our location for …

I would definitely hire Later Gator for any move! Tim & Austin were efficient, polite, handled everything with care, were prepared with supplies, and very knowledgeable and experienced. Moving from a third floor with no elevator, I couldn’t have asked for a better crew! Especially in the middle of June in the Florida heat! They arrived on time and got straight to work and didn’t stop for five straight hours until the work was complete. I appreciate this kind of work so much and would recommend to anyone I know!

Later Gator Moving was FANTASTIC!!! We moved from a Washington DC apartment to a Gainesville Florida apartment. I talked and texted with the owner (Clay) several times before & during & after the move. He was extremely helpful with EVERYTHING about the move. A moving team led by Tim did a GREAT job getting our belongings at our Washington DC apartment. And another team led by Tim did a GREAT job delivering our belongings at our new apartment in Gainesville Florida. Everyone was friendly & efficient & reliable.
