I had a terrible experience at lighthouse, one location I rented to didn’t even have a door on the unit, no code, no lock, no light, nothin. I switched to a different location across town and our unit was broken into and burglarized a little over a month later, everything was stolen or smashed. There was very little camera footage, and the insurance claim system is a huge pain.
Called to rent a unit and was quoted one price. When I rented the price was higher because of mandatory insurance? Ok whatever, classic bait and switch. Interesting they force insurance because a month later the place catches on fire, fortunately my unit didn't burn up. Week and a half later I call to find out if I have gate code access and get no return call. Drive up there and person behind counter tells me there is no after hour access because of fire.
Robert, seem like you have a lot going on, we try our best to be polite and treat our customers with care and respect. I would appreciate it if you did the same. We would be happy to refund your money and find somewhere more suitable to your needs.
Honestly, I don't care for this place, it is quite ridiculous how they treated my mother, we rented this storage building for the past 14 years, 14 years, and because she got one month behind because we were forced to move since our landlord sold the house we were living in out of nowhere, they are now telling my mother she has to pay 350$ in 2 weeks or they will auction it off, right before christmas.
I wouldn’t rent a storage building again from Light house storage. I am supposed to pay $19.99 a month. They charged me $146.00. When I called the reason was they didn’t take the payment last month. But I have it on my bank statement. When I told the lady that. Then she hung up on me. Never again for a closet space!!!

Hey there Robert/Savannah, you absolutely can file an insurance claim with us! We would never deny you that; we were just warning you that your claim might not be successful because there was no evidence of foul play on your unit.
If I could give zero stars I would. Used it for maybe four months and could never get anyone to answer the phone and my entire unit ended up with mouse feces and lord knows what else. Ew. Will never ever rent from them again.
