When I first signed up for a unit here it was prior to Make Space taking over. Since then, we have found the quality dropped significantly! They took away on site service, reduction in heat, reduced cleaning and any repairs take months on end to finish. In addition I was recently notified that my insurance on my contents was half of what I signed up for and that, oh by the way, that reduction already came into affect weeks ago with no advance notice.
Ms. Topp. First I want to sincerely thank you for your comments. I am the CEO of Make Space Inc. and I don’t normally take the time to respond to reviews as we have many competent leaders that are usually much better at it than I am.
They do not even deserve one star. 100% dissatisfied. I signed up for a unit on Highland Rd. in Kitchener. Password did not work and I called less than 8 hrs later to cancel and absolutely no refund. I booked online on a Sunday evening and called the next morning. Why pay for insurance to a cancelled unit? I'm sure the paperwork wasn't even completed. Will not ever book online again nor with this company!
Hi Tami, Sorry for the late reply. It looks like you booked the unit at another facility (Highland Rd) and not the one on Webster where you posted your review hence the issue with the access code. Thanks
This place has FALSE Advertisement!! Does not have drive up and heated/ climate controlled storage available at the Kitchener location. It has inside controlled heated and climate controlled units but again does not have DRIVE UP UNITS. They use portable storage units that are fixed c-cans as there storage !! This place also has only one bay for persons to unload and load storage items. Leaving zero room for multiple persons/vehicles to be dropping off and picking up at one time.

I've had a unit here for 11months In this time I paid approx half of my rent. I've been dealing with the kitchener branch on Webster rd, I've offered to make payments to get caught up, the lady I've been dealing with Karla Younger has denied my money twice, one of 300 n second of 700 dollars. My father passed away when I was 6months old, I have items in there that are not replaceable.

I have absolutely no idea what staff the reviews I've read are referring too,I never see anyone in the office,I rarely get a phone call return and I've been trying for over a week to get a lock removed as I lost the key,the lock hasn't been removed yet,off the charts frustrating

Rented a storage unit to have it on a weekend and no one sent us the access code. They didn't answer the phone for 3 days and when they did they kept giving wrong codes and I had to continue going back! Very annoying as we had a Uhaul full of stuff.

Best Place, I've never had any problems with my storage unit. The staff are amazing. Especially, Gisela G. From Kitchener, Ontario location. I couldn't be more thankful of her help and patience with me. Very understanding and easy to talk to. She understands me without any hassle or change in her behaviour. Doesn't pass any judgement towards me . Always professional, genuine, and just makes things easier and comfortable to work with. Quick response if there was any questions through email.

Not only did she offer me a great rate, she provided outstanding customer service and I found her delightful to speak with. She went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with every last detail of the arrangements and even sent me a map leading me straight to the location of my unit.

I had a very positive experience storing my things at the Make Space Webster Rd Kitchener location. The containers stored and protected my things very well. Gisela was wonderful! I rented 2 shipping containers for storage and one parking spot. Gisela was very helpful in assisting me on my visits to the site. I was also able to work a few days onsite, organizing and repacking my things, quite easily. I recommend Make Space!

I compared 3 different storage facilities, and I found Make Space the most convenient for my needs. I was inquiring online about the process to secure a unit and within minutes received a personal phone call from Gisela. I was able to book that day to see/figure out what size of storage unit I would need and with the help of Gisela, narrowed it down to the size I would require. The paperwork was very quick, and Gisela explained the contract and access in and out of the building thoroughly.
