I hired Mallard’s Moving in July for a cross country move. I was extremely clear on how to pack because I was being charged by the foot and all of our positions were moving across country. The men were nice enough but careless with my possessions and didn’t listen to how I wanted it packed. Even though I covered every piece of furniture meticulously with moving blankets boxes were crushed, furniture was broken, and sentimental items were destroyed.
So we hired Mallard to move just our big furniture and we took care of the small stuff ourselves. I wish we had hired someone else. Almost every single piece we own now has big scuffs, pieces broken off or just straight up broken. They ripped my sister's king sized bed in half without warning (memory foam layered), broke the glass pendant light in our stairwell, and broke one of my book cases in half.

Sept 2022, Preston Mallard moved belongings for me. In the move he was careless and damaged a table. He documented on my receipt he would replace it. Many exchanges of text messages with nothing but broken promises. He took it upon himself to throw away a table which was not his to throw away. More excuses came, followed by more broken promises. August 2025 he still has not honored his word. I highly discourage using his company since he is not an ethical business person.
Damaged all the furniture I had him move. Dropped it on the stairs which caused damage to brand new wood floor and steps. Said he would have someone fix it. Months later nothing happened with excuse after excuse. I went and got a quote from …

Movers were really great at communicating and did the job extremely fast. Slightly scratched our new floors but I will cut them some slack considering how heavy the item was.

If you are a actually real person that used the Mallard's moving & hauling and that happen he definitely would have,taken care of you if not he have backup service that would have. The ex-wife or fiancé he definitely DIDN'T have to beat up on. A good and understanding person and business man to deal with. We all have our faults.

They were amazing! My husband and I moved from out of state and we had a situation on the way down where we had to find someone quick that could unload the U-Haul for us. Preston took my call towards the end of the day and showed up the next day - on a Sunday. Very reasonably priced and will definitely go to again.
