Used for a long distance move. Upon delivery almost every tote was damaged, cracks in the plastic, lids smashed, many beyond being usable. Boxes were smashed, crushed and some had large holes ripped into them. Two large pieces of furniture were damaged: large scratches and a big dent/puncture in my book shelf and arrived very dirty; puncture hole in my large reading chair, also very dirty (was shrink wrapped on pick up but delivered uncovered).

I wish I could rate one star. My move was 6 days - I signed a contract for a moving spread and it was changed without my knowledge for 5 days later without telling me. Thus leaving me stranded without my items in another province. Then it was still late based on their own new moving time spread. Customer service stopped answering my emails and calls as soon as I paid. Plus on delivery, I was faced with an anti-vaxxer delivery person who even took his mask off.

Booked a move a month in advance, was told that the movers will call before arriving to confirm arrival time. Called to confirm details 4 days before the move, and was told that I do not have a scheduled move booked. DO NOT use this company! Unreliable, and you will never know if movers are going to show or not. Big risk.

Service was excellent from the moving consultant Amy to the loaders and drivers. Everything was well taken care of. We even had them arrange for shipping our vehicles across country and the service was again excellent. Would recommend them to anyone looking to move. We checked with the other long distance movers and the were definitely cheaper. Our weight was 8400 lbs. when they did the quote they were at 8540. So Amy is an excellent estimator. All the other companies when you switch it to price for pound.

Moving in the middle of a pandemic is stressful enough. Add moving to a locked-down province in the middle of a pandemic, and the stress levels go off the charts! Maritime Movers - Thompsons Moving were top notch and looked after all our needs. The loading crew in Halifax were in and out without any issues and the crew in Moncton were so fun (professional - but great sports!). Amy, in the office, responded to our questions and concerns within 10 minutes of our call.
