In their own words
Run for this company. I hired McKendree moving services to move us out our home, store our items for 30 days and move us in our new house once it was ready. I can honestly admit the move out was smooth. I was truly impressed. However, the move in was a complete disaster. I had so many glasses and dishes broken. Also, our 2 big televisions were damaged. Just notice yesterday my daughter tv is damaged as well, the color keeps going in and out.
I've been researching moving companies in the Southern MD area for an upcoming move. I came across this company and their website. I decided to give a call to ask a few basic questions. The woman that answered seemed bothered that I called, interrupted me and didn't offer to take any information from me. After the call, I did a review search, and low and behold they aren't as "professional" as their website claims. I'd rather be annoyed by her rude demeanor now, than to be out of thousands of dollars later.
So...never had movers before and thought that this would make moving much easier. WRONG! They didn't send enough movers, they arrived late, they were slow despite continued warnings that the building we were moving into would not allow …
This place gave me an estimate to move household stuff and final bill was over 30% higher than estimate. Plenty of wall and furniture dings too. Recommend you go elsewhere.
My experience with this company was horrible. Promised to delivered furniture on one day, then lied and said we never had a discussion of the date promised. Furniture was broken and damaged. Not enough movers when my furniture was delivered and it was delivered damaged. I would never recommend this moving company to any. Paid top dollar, but received poor service. They don’t take any care of handling your furniture. See pictures…
We do not recommend this moving company at all. We hired this company to move us from Maryland to North Carolina. We have missing boxes and a grandfather clock that needs the weights to be put back on the spool. The company is telling us that is mechanical and they don’t cover that. If our issues are not dealt with in a timely matter we will be contacting our attorney.
Heaven forbid if you have an emergency like your vehicle breaks down; they don’t care—they will ensure to get the minimum fee. So, attempt to predict future mishaps. Wouldn’t recommend them at all.
So many items were missing or damaged, I cant seem to find most of my kitchen stuff and camping stuff. I would not recommend them .

In their own words
I couldn’t be happier with my experience with McKendree Moving! They made my move seamless by arriving right on time, working quickly yet carefully, and offering very reasonable pricing. The team was professional and friendly from start to …
I used McKendree Moving & Storage for a residential move within the state. From the beginning I was reassured as the estimate was completed in person with Matt who then followed up with several calls to explain insurance and other questions I had. The owner John also confirmed prior to the move. On moving day, the 3 movers contacted me with their ETA, were very professional, prepared the furniture and moved quickly. At the new place they had to deal with an elevator and a walk to my end unit condo.
I recently used McKendree Moving for a 2-phased move. Both times, I was extremely satisfied. They were prompt, professional, and courteous. The two crews sent to service my move were on time, friendly, very efficient, and helpful. They took care with all of my fragile belongings, some of which had been in my family for years. I have also beenquite satisfied with the office staff, especially John Cali. He was quite professional, cooperative, and his estimates were right on target.
I was totally happy with Mckendree .From the first time I called them they were accommodating and nice to deal with . The price was fair and the packers and movers couldn’t have been better . We had many details and they followed everything to the letter . I haven’t ever moved long distance and it was daunting to pack up a lifetime of memories . But with this company it was smooth and easy . I don’t hesitate to recommend them .,
