I don’t typically write reviews, but I felt it was important to share my experience so others can make a more informed decision. I hired Monroe Moving Pro after providing a detailed inventory of everything I needed moved. Based on that list, I was given what seemed like a fair estimate. Along with their positive online reviews, that gave me enough confidence to move forward and pay a deposit. On moving day, I walked the crew through the same inventory I had originally submitted.

The staff was really nice, but they left many important items behind. An entire closet full of clothes that I had to drive back to NJ to pick up. Other items completely disappeared, not in the old house never made it to the new house, including irreplicable photos. I reported to the company and never heard back. Cannot recommend.

I am writing this negative review because this company is a rip off. I was charged over $1200 for a move within the same state!!!! Not even 30 minutes from my previous home. I was given an estimate of one price and ended up paying way over that amount which was not called for at all. The owner never contacted me to discuss my displeasure, but chose to charge me an additional $48 dollars for going over the 2 hours when it was the fault of his moving men that the elevator broke while they were using it.
I must say I was not pleased with this company!!! When I first called to request an estimate the female worker was informed that I needed more than 5 hours. I gave her a list of what I was taking and explained how I have smaller items. She insisted that her workers are fast and get everything out of my old house into my new house within 5 hours. I still insisted I needed more house and she stated I will be fine. The day of my move the men walked in with an attitude.

We are sorry you did not have a great experience with us, but we do not feel this 1 star review is fair. We did an onsite visit on 12/03/2019 in order to give you a guaranteed biding quote based on the inventory. You did not pack when we took our visit and you stated you would only ship 3- 4 boxes.
