Don't ever think of using Mordue. It should actually be MOR ---DOESN'T. We got a "free quote" only to owe almost $1000 more after the move. The same people who loaded the truck did not unload the truck. We moved from Peoria, IL to Chicago, IL on 8/15/22. We were instructed to be at our new residence at 9:30. The movers showed up at 12:30 without calling or letting us know about a delay. One of the 3 movers left when they arrived. I had to call Mordue to have them send more people to unload the truck.
1) Movers stole A LOT of our items. Many things went missing. Examples: a)few name brand purses were in the same shelf as other purses. Those other purses made it to the moving box but how did these not make it? 🤔 they held sentimental value too.. b)Told the movers not to pack the alcohol collection in our basement and we would take it ourselves. They didn’t listen. They packed it onto our truck. We were like ok fine, if they took it already then forget it.
Ok, so typical sleezy moving style. They quoted me one price and arrived and proceeded to extort $1000 from me. If, I did not pay. They would not unload the truck. …
If we could give negative stars, we would. It was a horrible experience and we feel completely ripped off. Not only were the movers not able to actually move any of the "heavy" things, they complained about having to do it the entire time. They made it very known they were frustrated when they realized they actually had to put some work in, and actually were resisting to help carry things by the end of their shift because they were "sore." We ended up doing about just as much work as they did, yet they still…
Rented myself a 16-foot truck for a total of 1,000 mile run. The truck already had 75,000 miles on it. The last 300 miles of the trip, the “Transmission Overheated, Idle Engine” warning light kept coming on repeatedly, which required me to pull over and idle engine for about 30 minutes each time; a lot of wasted time. This happened 5 times. Finally, it stopped shifting into Reverse.

Was scheduled for a piano move between 12-4 on a Tuesday. After calling 3 or 4 times throughout the day for updates I was finally told at 4:00 that they wouldn’t make it that day. This is after I was promised at noon that they absolutely would get there before the end of the day. I rescheduled for Friday, only to be told on Friday morning when I CALLED THEM 20 minutes after they were supposed to arrive that they were understaffed and couldn’t make it.

I would like to commend the fellas who came to pick up furniture, books, clothes, art work and other household items on Tuesday and Thursday at 514 W. Timber Ridge Dr. in Peoria. Kyle and his colleague truly deserve a gold star for their efforts. They worked incredibly hard and were clearly committed to doing an excellent job. It was evident that their work is more than just a job to them—they genuinely care about people and their belongings. They were also a pleasure to work with throughout the process.

Submitted a request for a free moving quote on the website, received a call shortly after and scheduled for a live, at-address in-person estimate for the day after - then tomorrow came but nobody came on time. I called back to the same number that called me yesterday to ask what was going on, and was told no one was scheduled to come today (or ever) and my file doesn't even exist. The lady that called me on the day before doesn't work today.
