Move 4 Less - Reno Movers

We thought this was going to be great based on our interactions setting up our move. But it's been terrible. Our actual price ended up being over double what the estimate was despite having less for the company to move than we included in our inventory because we moved more ourselves. when we first got the estimate, no one explained that we were required to pay 45 minutes of travel time. We moved 0.4 miles away. So we did not have to ship anything and the actual travel time was less than five minutes.

If I could give no stars I would. WARNING do not go with these guys. I was quoted $630 for a small move from a storage to an apartment and then the bill was $1050 by the end of the night. I say end of the night because they started at almost 6pm. I am a single mom with small children. It started out bad to begin with. I really should have cancelled and chose somewhere else at that point but I like giving the benefit of the doubt. I was told someone would contact me the night before my move and no one did.

WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE! I would rate it a 0 if I could! They were supposed to arrive between 11-2 pm, I called on moving day to see if they could narrow down the time, and I was told 1 pm. 1 pm came and went, I called again and was told 4 pm. I called dispatch again as it got closer to 4 pm and was told 6 pm. Then the driver called and asked if they could reschedule the move to the next day. WHAT? We needed to be out!

Before hiring Move4Less, I highly recommend you do otherwise. While I had 3 good experiences with them, the 4th was absolutely horrible, which is why I cannot overlook it. I interviewed several companies for our move from Reno to Las Vegas. Move4Less will reel you in by price-matching with a competitor and tell you all the things you want to hear. They bill for every 15 minutes, which they stand behind, saying they "track" their employees, and that their employees will absolutely not take advantage of that.

The initial packing was good except I left notes on what to pack and what NOT to pack, one of the packers could not speak or read English. I had my good in storage for a week, when they were delivered everything was filthy, covered in heavy dust as if they sat in a high dust storm. Lost my computer, my printer and other very minor issues. All of my things, except for very few, were absolutely filthy with dirt. I was charge for deliver for men for 9.5 hours; there were 2 men for 3.5 hours.

The movers were great and I even gave them alcohol as a that k you but the quote and the price pains were 2 different things. The quotes was for 3 hours of work that included drive time. But they charged me an extra hundred dollars and would not unload my items unless I paid it. They were with us for an hour, hour and a half tops. That plus their hour drive time only equals 2.5 hours total. They also tried to change our date of the appointment without asking us.

If you care about your furniture, do NOT use Move 4 Less. We tried to talk to them about our issues, but they refused to acknowledge the terms in their own contract. They damaged almost every piece of furniture that we had in our move: - Huge gouge across the top of a vintage family heirloom table - Major puncture through the leather in our couch - Chipped corners and edges on vanity - Punctures through dining chairs - 90% of the rest of the furniture had scratches all over it.

Move4Less did not provide adequate service and did not take accountability for the damage to our items due to their negligence. The load had not been secured with straps (though we provided 8 straps), and some of the furniture was not wrapped (though sufficient blankets were provided). The result was that the load all fell forward resulting in multiple pieces of furniture being scratched, chipped and broken as well as boxes crushed. The mattresses were filthy after being drug on the bottom of the truck.
