The rating breakdown
3 of the 38 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for Move Up Movers are one or two star.
Worked out from 38 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.

Damaged brand new furniture lost the power cord to my electric bed packed heavy furniture on top of my TV and let them damaged and then received no acknowledgment or new cord as promised by the owner will and also very overpriced for the services and the quality showed up two hours late with a truck that was too small. And I lived out of state so it caused us to work till past midnight for a job that could’ve been completed by afternoon.
We are deeply sorry to hear about your experience. This is absolutely not the standard of service we hold ourselves to at Move Up Movers. Your feedback regarding the damages, the missing power cord, the late arrival, and the storage … More
Do NOT use this company. They were a day late and then they ruined all of my wood furniture. They didn't even use the blankets that I was told I had to rent. The movers were tiny and acted like they were angry when they had to move something heavy. They broke several pieces of my wood furniture and you will see a picture of all the wood pieces I found on the floor after they left. They didn't tell me they had broken it. I had a custom made table and there are cracks throughout the entire table now.
Hi Leslie, we are sorry to hear that your move was stressful and that your items sustained damage. However, we feel it is important to provide the full context of what happened on the day of your move, as well as the solutions we offered … More
There was no reimbursement. Our insurance agent called them and was informed they do not have insurance even though their website says they do. We tip laborers because it is not their fault they are under poor management. Nothing was wrapped or secured. Mattress bags were brought and left unused. We hired for pack and load (see photo of estimate). Estimator looked at both houses thoroughly and quoted that a competent mover would do it in half the time they charged us for.
We appreciate you updating your review, as it allows us to correct several significant factual errors for the benefit of our future customers. … More
They left boxes up to my ceiling so that was the worst part. They were horribly inefficient and half way through I asked about timing and space and it took 3 hours for them to send more people. They ran into both the house I was moving out of and the storage unit, so they were not careful. On top of all of this I called to complain and they didn’t respond or do anything. Also I was charged by 2 Pure Moving, so something was off for sure. Do not recommend.
Hello Rachel, It appears you have the wrong company. You mentioned being billed by 'Pure … More

Austin and Montae did a great job. They were punctual, friendly, and careful. Would recommend for anyone moving in the Erie area! Also, if you’re on the fence about hiring movers vs doing it all yourself: hire the movers!

I can't say enough good things about Move Up Movers. They worked so hard and went above and beyond. They were very professional, very courteous and very kind. They had to drive a long way through some pretty intense weather but still showed up and stayed late until everything was complete. I highly recommend this moving company if you want the job done right. Thank you Austin and team! You guys are awesome!!
