In their own words
I have over 16 THOUSAND DOLLAR OF DAMAGE to my furniture from a move from this company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. They had extremely subpar furniture packing skills which leads to massive furniture damage. (1) I trusted Christina at MovingByDesign when she told me they were experienced and I could trust them. I trusted them to pad and pack my townhouse of furniture into a 28 foot trailer.
Recently I hired moving by design. After unloading my possessions and unpacking them I discovered items missing- Safe included important documents and jewelry portable A/C, Portable Power Supply and other items. I contacted Moving By Design after realizing these items were missing. I filed a claim with the court. I was hoping that Moving By Design would accept responsibility and do the right thing. I will update this post regarding the outcome whether it be a court judgement or settlement by Moving By Design.
Hi Helene, Thank you for taking the time to share your concerns. We’re truly sorry to hear that you’re unable to locate some of your items — we understand how stressful that can be. We do want to clarify that during both the loading and unloading processes, you personally inspected the truck and…
This review isn’t so much for moving by design but more for an individual that works for moving by design. I love this company and all of their hard work but, there is one worker named Chris I witnessed get very hostile and almost physical with another employee for doing nothing more than take a 10 minute restroom break. I would highly recommend using this company though I would recommend asking for this individual to not be on the crew just in case.
I'm sorry to hear that Miranda, we have reprimanded the individual.
OVER PRICED!! Moving by Design had a call off & sent a replacement hours into the move which of course extended the time but still charged me for their delays. …
I was to be the recipient of a piano that was to be moved from Pearland to Alvin. About an hour after the piano was picked up, this moving company let my sister know that there was an accident, that some straps broke and the piano had fallen over and was damaged. This was especially hard to hear after the movers repeatedly assured my family that the additional insurance we were considering purchasing was unnecessary - we paid for the minimum insurance.
We used this company to move us from Crystal Beach, Texas to Dripping Springs, Texas a year and a half ago. They did an average job then. We decided to move back to the beach and called and had them move us to a storage unit in League City since that's where they were located while our new house was being built. There is when we started with the issues. At first, they came and move all our belongings to the storage unit.
This was my second time to contact Moving By Design to move me from one apartment to another in two years. The first time, the move was fantastic. They sent me three very experienced and professional movers. They moved me from a 1 …
The movers themselves are competent, but the owner Tim dropped the ball for my recent move from Clear Lake to Summerwood. 1. Although Tim quoted a 3-men crew after his in-person estimate, only a 2-men …

Oh my God it was so amazing. Johnathan, David, Enrique and Jesus are so awesome. I told them I'm gonna bake them something and I'm gonna drop it off to them one day before I go to work. Although I was all in the way they were very efficient and professional. Excellent work guys. Thank you
Thank you Katria! We’re happy moving by design along with our professional crew could provide a great moving experience!
Amazing move with Henry Jacob , Jonathan. Thank for the good service and great communication
Thank you Anthony! We’re happy we could provide a great move for you!
Used to move from Friendswood Texas to Mcewen Tennessee. The packers were very good and the movers, Enrique, Jonathan, Jesus, Jacob, Bryan and Ryan were fantastic! Enrique never said no to any request and was super efficient. The office personnel we dealt with were not the best otherwise this would be five stars. Trouble getting phone calls returned and scheduling kept getting changed. Luckily Enrique and his moving crew saved the day for his company!
When I called to get a quote, Cristina said they try to make moving easy and that was my experience. Enrique, Jesus & Tyler were all very polite and considerate. Enrique did a great job managing the job and making sure we got everything. I also very much appreciated that MBD also helped us donate a few items to an organization that will now allow the items go to new families. Thank you MBD!
Thank you Rachel! We’re happy we could provide a positive moving experience for you!
