This has been absolutely the worst moving experience ever, please read this review and do not hire this company. I scheduled my move with them, from Sunnyvale to San Francisco, several weeks in advance, getting multiple confirmation emails and several email/phone interactions with the booking team to answer all the questions they had for me. Pickup was scheduled for Saturday 5/18 at 9am.

I highly recommend avoiding this moving company. My tenant hired them to move her belongings, and the experience was nothing short of disastrous. The movers displayed a complete lack of professionalism when they didn't even bother to ask to use the bathroom, which had been recently professionally cleaned. To make matters worse, they left the seat up and urinated all over the floor. Such behavior is absolutely unacceptable and disrespectful.

Terribly unsafe! It's illegal to block a sidewalk. There was even plenty of room for street parking on either suffer of the driveway, but these movers are too important to be a part of the community and follow the rules... There are two schools in the area getting out right now, the kids are running and biking and scooting into traffic; a little girl asked me where to go- she didn't feel safe in the road, who can blame her.

My boyfriend had used them for moves. This year we had to move again and decided to engage them. In the past for studio and 1 bed they would send two people. This time, we were clear that we were moving to a townhome with three stories so would require more strength and potentially more people. They sent only two people, for moving 2 bed 2 bath. Both were on the older side and weren’t as strong. It took them 7 hours (drive between homes was 30mins).

They tried to force me to pay a $10 per person per hour tip. When I gave them their tip (about $4 per person per hour) the guy actually called his boss at the office and tried to force me to pay a higher tip. When they showed up (for a two bedroom apartment move) they hardly had any boxes. One guy had to leave for an hour to go buy them, time which I was paying for. Other than that the move was fine.
I had an extremely disappointing experience with Joy Moving Company. The movers were incredibly slow and seemed inexperienced in handling our belongings. It took them almost 12 hours to move a two-bedroom apartment, which is outrageous …

Yury and Gena arrived on time, were friendly, professional, and super helpful. The move went very smoothly without any issues. This was my third time using their service, and once again they did an excellent job. They moved me into a temporary home for a few months and then back into my apartment.
