Well folks you learn something new everyday. The moving industry is a joke! And yet I believe this company is probably one of the best. The problems start when you don't have a rock solid system. But I believe the real problem is the use of subcontractors to accomplish most of your business. So the crew arrived on time and they start out like gangbusters, like everybody knows what they are doing.
We appreciate the feedback and regret that this wasn't a more positive experience.
I really wish I could give Oakley Relocation 5 stars. Unfortunately, after having them move us from San Diego to Colorado Springs, crating & putting our things in storage for 7 weeks, and then delivering everything, we had 9 pieces of broken, fairly new furniture. I’m not talking about just scratches or dents. I’m talking about a dining chair with a broken leg, a nightstand with a 6” chunk of wood missing off the side.

Rude personnel. Not responsive to questions to not park in the street as their personal, work space. Seemed to enjoy being rude. Invited me to take their picture. Pretty shoddy behavior from a woman owned business. Made fun of me while sitting in their truck, not driving off. I said they could keep chuckling, and they did. But it’s not as if San Diego isn’t a misogynistic town. Whew!
I went through the process of getting a quote and it was a great price. Then they let me know they need to change it because they "messed up". The new quote was triple the first quote. I called to get answers and was told by the person who did my quote "they were in a rush and made mistakes...". I asked to speak to a manager and called 10 times and they never took my call.
Our owner left you a voice mail to follow-up on the phone message. We wanted to apologize for our error and that we had to submit a follow-up quote. We were starting a new software program at the time, and had a glitch connecting to the software. Our apologies again to you for the miscommunication.
So the pros our guy estimated our move about 1.5 tons less than what it was. My family left before the movers arrived we had confidence in the company since they had great reviews. I had family members at the house when they arrived, the directions given were simple everything inside the house goes to the new house everything outside in the shop and 2 sheds goes to storage simple right.

I used North American Van Lines for a cross country move, and they in turn contracted to Oakley Relocation. Oakley Relocation lied about the weight of my load and increased my charges by 25% which they did not inform me until I contacted them to get false charges for boxing two mattresses which they did not do (I only have one mattress and I had packed it myself in a shipping bag I purchased myself from Amazon).

HORRIBLE experience! I’ve used North American before to move and I wasn’t happy I wasn’t directly using them again but this is a North American Van Lines company. Matt Von Paris came out for an estimate. I tell him I’m moving from CA to TX and will need 4-5 months storage. He suggested keeping it in CA as the highway rates in June were the highest. Ok. I take him around my 3000sqft home showing him everything and what few items we needed packed. He spent the entire time flirting with me which I did not appreciate.

Just want to thank Oakley Relocation for a great start in our move back to Ohio. Our moving crew was led by Hector Ortiz. We had Hector in a previous move and he, once again, did a marvelous job. Hector treats your home and possessions like they are his own. He is professional, cordial, organized and efficient. Hector, in addition to using padding and runners, uses a special runner to protect hard wood floors. Also would like to thank his crew, Chris, Angel, Enrique, Pete and Daniel.

Moving across the country can be stressful. It's a lot of change and requires a lot of planning. I spent a lot of time researching moving companies; the reviews can be outright scary. I ended up going with North American (Oakley Relocation) after speaking with them; their quote was one of the better ones I received for my 1 BR move from San Diego to Charleston, SC. I truly recommend Oakley -- they were communicative and clear about the process each step of the way.

My husband and I moved from Brentwood, CA to Oceanside, CA last week, a distance of about 400 miles. My experience with Oakley Relocation made the move seamless and easy. We had used them for another move 2 years ago and were so pleased that we never even got another quote from any other company when planning the current move.
