One Stop Moving & Storage

This is by far the worst packing, moving company I have ever experienced in my lifetime. They came to our house to get us an accurate quote for packing and moving and we agreed on said price. By the time all was said and done the price doubled. The people who packed the items took forever and clearly did not have any idea nor business packing items up. Many collector items were damaged due to the inability and pure inept skill levels of these people.

Absolute worst move ever. I picked one stop Moving based on their reviews. Funny enough I just noticed now one of the reviews was written by an employee john Who has since my Move left the company. I paid $1800 to move my boxes, no furniture, into storage for one month and then to my new home. Let me describe the move: May 28 they came and packed up and moved me. They seemed to be in a hurry and I later noticed they forgot to take several items from my Kitchen as well as the paintings off the wall.

JOB INCOMPLETE. Hired One Stop Moving to help our family move from San Diego to out of state. The quote we were given to fit all of our belongings was inaccurate forcing us to rent an additional U-haul on top of the $9000 we were already paying One Stop. On our way out of town, One Stop called to explain their moving truck was overweight and prohibited from crossing the CA state line.

They are not professional. They hire kids from job backagencies and don't share their tips. They also will hold your TV or other expensive furniture hostage and brag about it until you pay them. 2000 for a 2 bedroom apartment. They charge you by the time and those new people who never had this experience are taking so long, and the ones who are professional movers, are just chill and watch most of the time and trying take as long as they can.

We will give them zero stars. As you now moving is extremely stressful for all parties involved. At first they were great! they gave us free boxes and they confirmed the time 24 hours a head of time. Come moving day unfortunately it was one thing after another. Our moving window was 8-10am but one of the movers called out sick. Then the window was 11am - 2pm and then it was we can't do it today. After explaining how we need to get our items moved he agree to five movers at 4:45pm. That didn't happen either.

Very poor value and poor customer service. I recently used their service and was very disappointed. I first used their service to pack and move my stuff to their storage. It was fine until then. After about a month, I called them again to move my items from their storage to my new address. They showed up around 1115 am and by 1230pm, they unloaded everything and even assembled our furniture at the new place. When they eventually gave us the invoice, came the shocker.

I had a very frustrating experience with this company. I was quoted $600 to move my piano, and I provided clear details upfront—including the piano’s size and the fact that there were three landscape steps. Despite that, I received a call on the day of the move saying the price would now be $1,000, claiming they needed two additional movers. While I understand that quotes can sometimes change, this kind of significant increase—on the day of the move—shows that they failed to ask the right questions from the start.

Team of 3 showed up to the house, one man got injured so they left early for the day. Had to come an extra day due to the injury and charged us for the time. They didn’t even do an inventory of items they packed and moved. Specifically asked them to take apart my home gym and rebuild in new location. Did not do so and left home gym in the garage since it wouldn’t fit through any doorway. Damaged every single piece of furniture we owned, almost all of it purchased in the six months prior to the move.
