ZERO STARS for Pods Corporate. You know those mistakes you make and you wish so much that you could quit immediately and back out? You can’t get out. You’re stuck. Not only do they have your lifetime of belongings in their possession, and thousands of dollars worth of moving costs into loading those belongings. But also they can make mistakes and ship your LIFE across the country to the WRONG city at the WRONG time WITHOUT ANY NOTICE, as there is ZERO RECOURSE.

I wouldn’t recommend PODS to my worst enemy if the service was free and came with a cash prize at delivery. My move has been booked for a month and a half. I called 5 separate times to confirm details, each time being assured all was well. My first payment was made. On the morning of the delivery the very rude driver called and questioned my address. After speaking he told me it was ‘further than he wanted to drive and his boss was not going to be happy’, however indicated the delivery would happen.
One of the worst experiences I've had in any customer service company ever. Did not deliver my PODS on time. I ordered 2, they only delivered one. The other sat on the property until I was able to connect with someone locally to have it delivered. Prior to that, I was communicating with an offshore call service that could not help at all. Not a great experience. Make sure you are clear on you dates. Make sure you are clear on all the other charges. Clint out of Madison Wisconsin was the savior.
The initial set and delivery with PODS was simple, easy, and stress free. Things after that seemed to go downhill. Our PODS container was stored in a different warehouse than originally planned and the warehouse did not allow for easy access to our items as promised. I had thought we would have weekend and evening access to our PODS storage unit, but we found out the storage warehouse was only open from 8-4:30 Monday-Friday and not on weekends.
What a disaster! My scheduled ETA for drop off was 12-3pm. I arrived at my storage area at 12:15 (pod drop off area). I waited there until 8:00pm (8 hours sitting in a parking lot) up until I got a call from "PODs operations" and was told the delivery would not happen that day. I called throughout the day asking for status no less than 7 times constantly being told it was 30 to 45 min away. I wasted a whole day and now have to rearrange our entire move.
RUN FROM THIS COMPANY. What a nightmare. If you want more stress during a move, you've found the right robots to deal with. Their system gives you a run around of workers incapable of keeping the days promised and problem after problem. …

While this is rating just the Milwaukee services, my overall experience was fantastic. From booking through POD pickup, communication was clear and timely. Everyone we talked to either via chat or by phone was very polite and knowledgeable. Honestly, in this day and age, where so much is automated through AI agents, I have to commend PODS for not losing sight of the customer experience. I helped my parents facilitate a long distance move using PODs.
Great experience using PODS for the first time. I was able to store all my garage contents for my move to a new home and the entire process of dropping off and picking up the pod was seamless. The email and driver communication was excellent and it was great to manage the delivery/pickup process online and modify dates as needed. The PODS drivers were courteous and respectful of the placement of the POD in my driveway. I would highly recommend PODS for your storage needs for your next home move!

The two pod delivery technicians Noel and Caleb were excellent at helping us orient our Two 16 x 8' pods. We have an unusual set up here, and both were able to guide us to position our two 8x16' storage pods within their delivery constraints and our needs. Original purpose was to move a few items to another state during a job change. Didn't happen the way I had planned, but it allowed me to store items at my house while I continued to downsize. Quite helpful to have the POD. And it was easy to work with.
