PODS Moving & Storage

Horrible experience. The Romulus Transit Hub had a person not show up today which apparently empowered the logistics manager to decided that PODs would be taken out of the deliver system and delay the destination delivery. My POD was supposed to be picked up today 6/19 and arrive in Green Bay on 6/27. It is now scheduled for for pick up on Monday 6/23 and arrive in Green Bay on 6/30. It was completely loaded up yesterday with the expectation to have access to the items on 6/27.

Look into the full breakdown for your quote before you sign up for PODS services BUYER BEWARE!!! THEY USE SHADY BUSINESS PRACTICES AND HAVE MANY “hidden fees” that are not disclosed in the quote. I will never use them again and recommend you take your business elsewhere too.

Unless you have endless flexibility in your life and your move, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. We paid for their city service to move from Michigan to New York City. Well, on the evening of the day they were supposed to pick up our pod from our Michigan home (within the expected pickup window), they rescheduled it to the next day. The next day rolled around, they rescheduled the service window four times and finally said the pick up needed to be rescheduled again, and they bumped it by an entire WEEK.

We booked a POD for storage during staging while we were selling our house. We set a pick up date that was a few days before our listing photos. Delivery went smoothly but then the day before they were supposed to pick up the container, they rescheduled via email to a week later. The call center was very kind but they were unable to reschedule the pick up - all they could do was offer a $50 credit and try to reach out to the local office. This is completely unacceptable - I would give zero stars if I could.

Edit: I emailed the address provided in the company’s reply below and still haven’t heard back. Clearly no real local customer service. I am having a horrible time with pods in southeastern Michigan. My pod was allegedly delivered to my home yesterday and today, with photo evidence, and yet, I still do not have a pod. Corporate doesn’t talk directly to local branches, and I cannot get in contact with local branches either. There is no realtime tracking of the pod so my pod could be in Narnia for all I know.

I had the worst experience that financially cost me quite a bit of additional money due to me selling my home and only being advised only one 16ft POD was required. It just went from bad to worse. I really regret not using the usual. It took me 3 weeks of calling and an escalations team that ignored every aspect of the negative impact it had upon me. They stated for many different incidents that everything was handled properly. Worst experience I've ever had to deal with in my entire life.

Not transparent on pricing and moving process to the warehouse instead of my direct address. My initial quote was not the same as what I paid. They didn’t ask for full address only zip to underprice and then they got the full moving address and added the price….! Good service but there are cheaper moving box companies out there.

Spent 5 hours on several phone call. They kept lying to me about the price quote. The quote generated online is fake; to proceed, you must confirm with telephone customer service, at which point you will receive a completely different quote.
