Forbes, and Bloomberg gave United 4.5 stars as one of the best moving companies in the world especially for cross country moving. Eric came out and gave us an estimate, which was higher than others, but a fixed price. Having moved cross country on multiple occasions my wife and I decided to use them. We priced in packing our home the day before. The weather in western Maryland was bad so they didn’t show until after 12 pm. Due in at 8 or 9 am. One person a dispatcher came. A driver showed up 2 hours later.

Moving our possessions with Ramar was a terrible and heartbreaking experience. We received our living room furniture in pieces, literally. Three chairs and one table had broken legs, and the pedestal of our antique drop leaf table was destroyed. They even promised to give it extra care since it was a family heirloom. This all took place somewhere between moving our belongings from our home to unloading them at their storage facility in Frederick.
We aim to deliver a premier moving experience. We’re sorry to hear about this and appreciate you taking the time to share this information. The safety of our drivers, crews and customers remains our first priority.
I give this company 1 star. The initial process was great, the driver to NC was fantastic and the warehouse person getting boxes was awesome. After that service was terrible. Some of my things didn't get inventoried and when they were broke the company doesn't want to take responsibility for them. Hundreds of dollars of things. More things broken than I can count and because the box wasn't damage they don't want to take responsibility for it.

Terrible! Worst help we've ever had! Only one worker showed up on time, the rest were late and didn't show up at all. Slow packing didn't use ANY paper in boxes. A lot of standing around and walking around. We will never use them again!!!

We had an excellent experience with our move with Ramar moving systems and United Van Lines. Eric managed our move and did all of the inventory, etc. He was very professional, he did a very thorough job with the inventory and quote. He was always quick to respond to any questions. Michelle assisted and tracked everything. She was in constant contact with us throughout each stage of the move. She kept us informed on the schedule, called at each stage asking how things were going.
We're so pleased to hear we were able to accommodate your needs and that you found our crew to be pleasant and helpful. Our goal is always to provide our customers with a smooth and stress-free move. We appreciate all the kind words and recommendation of our company.
We used Ramar Moving Systems for our move from Maryland to Michigan. I met with Eric and he was very professional and answered all my questions. I got quotes from a few movers and decided on Ramar because I liked Eric the best. We had a LOT of furniture and furnishings, etc. to move and I was really worried about our things getting lost or broken or not arriving in a timely fashion. Well none of that happened.

Channing, the long-distance driver (also loader & unloader), & the rest of the loaders/unloaders went above and beyond for their services and should be commended for their labor intensive hard work. They handled every piece of our inventory with professionalism, courtesy, and grace, despite having to bear the sweltering heat of Florida. We received every bit of our items in good condition and was beyond happy when delivered much earlier than originally intended.
