In their own words
I have moved a lot of times and this was the worst moving experience I have had. The crew was unprofessional and unhelpful. When I contacted Scully regarding my concerns I never got a call back from the manager. When I reached out to the owner, he would not listen, just interrupt constantly. I will never use Scully again.
Too bad I cant tunr the calender back and go with another moving company. Three items was damaged, called and talked with the owner, he would check and see if I was covered and call me back next day. NOTHING next day. I called again and was told he would call me. NOTHING again. Giant crickets. Just for fun I emailed the radio station they advertise on and told them the experience.
If I could give them something below ZERO, I would. This company is not professional or responsible. They started off good moving my things. They packed and moved me to my location. When I finally got around to unpacking the boxes at my new apt, several items were missing. I had $150.00 worth of towels and wash cloths from my bathroom closet just "vanish" and probably was never put on the truck and at this point neither the company, drivers or packer have taken any responsibility; they're washing their hands and…
Not a good experience!! 9 moves across the country. 8 with franchised movers that were perfect, no damage, not disorganization and adequate packing material and sensible packing. The damage was extensive from carelessness, and trying to rush the job with Scully. The $1000 and a few more dollars savings by going withScully vs a national company was not worth it!! The only photo of myself and mother was carelessly thrown in a box and unusable now.
I recently moved my elderly mother to two senior communities in a matter of just four months. For the first move, I used GR, family-based Scully Statewide Moving. Communication was limited and unprofessional. The movers told me when it was convenient for THEM to do the move. They weren't prepared to honor the CDC COVID restrictions for working in senior housing, and I had to provide the movers with, and remind them to wear, face masks, which they didn't wear properly.
If you want to have your things arrive at your new location don’t hire theses people.I realized after a couple of days that a box of books not a small box, was missing and no one at the company would accept responsibility. The worst of it was that the box included a Bible that belonged to my husband who had died. The owner actually accused my children of taking it. My kids are in their 50’s. The owner when I confronted him quipped that they probably were in the lost and found. Hahaha!
I would consider this a last resort mover if you NEED to move overnight. Was promised a 3-man crew, two showed up for 90 percent of the day. Estimate said 29 foot truck would take 8 hours with said promised crew. Move took two days, one ten hour day and one shorter. Talked to owner and he stated bill was $2500 because of extra day, extra workers, and conditions. None of which was our fault. Owner did discount some but should have stuck to initial estimate to be fair to all parties.
Great for first move to apartment back in July 2017. I cannot say that same about our move from apartment to new home yesterday. Workers complained about the amount of stuff to move along with complaining about where we asked them to place it despite having time to relax and smoke while on the clock amidst waiting for their turn to unload truck between multiple deliveries we had arriving at house. I thought we were hiring a reputable company again however, we got disgruntled employees. I hope you enjoyed the tip.

In their own words
Zach and Cameron were amazing. First, they arrived on time. Secondly, they were polite and made sure they understood what we needed before they began. They moved a lot of items. They were careful, and respectful of our property. They worked as a team and communicated with each other like a well oiled machine. Thank you.
I was so impressed with Scully moving! Fair price, very professional and efficient movers! So so so happy!! Thank you!
Overall this turned out to be a good, but not perfect move. Josh, the crew lead, and Joe, one of the assistants, were great. The other guy, Mario, not so much. He complained a lot and was on his phone instead of helping the other two guys, and two hours after the crew arrived he asked to be picked up because he 'wasn't feeling well'. To the company's credit, they were able to get a replacement guy (Jake) out within an hour to help out and things went very smoothly from there.
★★★★★ We couldn't be happier with our experience with Scully Statewide Moving Company! They came highly recommended by a trusted friend, and they absolutely lived up to that recommendation. From the office staff to the moving crew, everyone was friendly, professional, and incredibly efficient. What impressed us most was the communication throughout the entire process. I even had to coordinate parts of our move while I was overseas, and everything was handled seamlessly.
