This company is absolutely awful and I would NOT recommend you use them. My package sat in their warehouse for 2 weeks! I was very understanding when the weather was a reason for some of the delay but I had to threaten that I was going to report it stolen if they didn’t deliver it! Part of it they even admitted they forgot to put me on their roster for delivery! They delivered my Nordic Trac bike upside down , damaged and broken! I would strongly recommend you not use them if you can help it!!

I have moved multiple times and have never paid this much for a move, nor experienced this level of stress and unprofessionalism. Finding reliable manual labor in Lincoln is difficult, so I chose what I believed was a national brand, expecting a higher baseline of service. I knowingly paid more in hopes of avoiding problems. That is not what happened. To start, United Vans, Select Vans, and Mayflower in Lincoln are effectively the same company, handled by the same agent.
We’re sorry to hear that this move felt stressful. Moving across state lines—especially during the sale of a home—can be challenging, and we understand how important clear communication and reliable service are during that process.
Truck was parked on the wrong side of the road, where there is no parking posted. Driver and helpers were belligerent and wouldn't move the truck so I could get to an appointment, which I missed. The driver was just petty pet moved items on my property and blocked my driveway again with an item just to be annoying. I'm sure not everyone is like this on their team. Already spoke to the company and they say they will right this unprofessional attitude.
Unfortunately, sometimes there is little space in neighborhoods for the larger trucks to work, however, we appreciate you taking the time to share this information. The safety of the public and our van operators is our number one priority.
Edit (6/6/2022): This company started out great. Responsive to questions, friendly employees, etc. But then they loaded and we started opening boxes. Packers: The ladies who packed us were caught in a lie. They told us the warehouse "ran out of TV boxes," so the loaders would bring them. This was news to the loaders who laughed and asked, "did you have (so and so) packing?

What happens when your movers do not show up on the agreed moving day? We had a terrible experience with Select Van&Moving. Firstly, they wanted to change our scheduled military moving date to a week earlier. We told them we couldn’t do it and we were ready to change our moving company but they said that they could still move us on the dates we requested earlier. It was determined that the packing would take two days and the third day, they would load it in the truck.

THOUSANDS IN DAMAGE. My wife and I moved out of Omaha last year, and our employer used this company to get us to Wisconsin. I was going to write this review earlier, but I wanted to make sure that I personally didn't misplace the thousands of dollars of engineering and pharmaceutical textbooks (and hundreds of hours of college notes) that are missing. While Shaun's crew did a fantastic job at loading us in a quick and efficient fashion, whatever happened between Omaha and Wisconsin must have been a nightmare.
We sincerely regret to hear about your experience and truly understand how stressful moving can be, especially when cherished belongings are damaged or go missing. Customer satisfaction is our top priority, and we take every claim seriously.
Fast talking sales people gloss over some critical moving details. Note, this is my 6th or 7th out of state move, this one went badly. I had no idea until moving day that my household goods were going into to storage there in Omaha on move-out day. I asked during the coordination call, I was very specific, I want my household goods loaded onto the truck that moving them the distant end. I was assured that would be the case. It was not. As a result, everything in the warehouse was dirty, damaged, or both.
Our goal is to provide an excellent moving experience for all our customers. We're very disappointed that you were dissatisfied with your move. We'll be reviewing your feedback with all parties involved to demonstrate what we could've done better.
Update: TERRIBLE MOVE RESULT. Damage to furniture, crushed boxes that I have to carefully review as I'm unpacking, etc. This is my 4th major interstate move and the first where there has been any damage to my furniture or crushed boxes. I trusted Mayflower on the way to Omaha and it worked out well, this trip away from Omaha was not good. I'm not a moving professional, but seeing what happened it looks like it's all rookie hour.

Kelly and Amy did an amazing job packing for our move. They were on time, courteous, and kept me informed throughout the process. They were quick but careful in packing for us. Thanks! Loading team came today and did an excellent job getting everything out of our house. A manager came by to check on things too. The team was courteous and took extra care by protecting some of the walls and doors in high traffic areas. A big crew ensured everything was loaded in a reasonable timeframe without having to rush the job.

Moving is one of life's major stressors but when you have a crew like that of Amy, Kelly, Lorraine and Memory packing up your whole life and being so considerate of what it means to you it takes that anxiety away. They were speedy and efficient and their many years of experience made for a smooth, professional job. Select Van &Storage should also be commended for hiring such superior employees. After the packing comes the loading which can be as nail-biting an experience as the packing.

We were very pleased with the service received. The loaders arrived within the window of time that was communicated to me by the moving coordinator. They worked efficiently and were very careful with our big/heavy items. The loading took far less time than I anticipated, which was welcomed, as I needed to get other things done before the evening. Our relocation was out of state. We had some belongings dropped off at a residential address, and other items put in storage for awhile.
