Shively's gave me a great quote but after the move presented me with a bill that was 55% over the estimate. The moving crew was good but the owner was not. I felt pressured to over pay and they damaged an appliance, ruined the front door and scratched the hardwood floor. I would NOT recommend this moving company. Beware of change in pricing.

They quote a price and then when they get done the price goes up. Plus the one mover was drunk and the other high . Don't recommend.We hired them 5 years ago. Big mistake.
We have searched our database and have no record of a move for this person. We have not performed any services for this individual and have requested that this review be removed.
First of all the estimate was really low for a 3 bedroom house. I thought I hit the jackpot nothing could be further from the truth. The low estimate came with a 5 hour timeframe, 4 hours later the movers were still loading the truck, which by the way ran out of room at hour 4. So now we’re running out of time and I’m going on to their overtime (paying by the hour for every hour over the 5 hour timeframe) the lead driver tells me to call the office and let them know that I’m upset the office sends another truck…

My friend paid 3,000 for a move. They left behind 75% of the stuff. I saw the movers on the truck smoking instead of moving. She was promised A truck to leave stuff overnight and it never happen. The manager literally came in and started bossing my friend around. After bringing stuff to the new location they didn’t put the stuff into storage but piled the stuff into a room which is now unusable when there was 4 Storage units available to be used. The furniture got dirty, they did not handle with care.

I received a quote of wait for it…$3,370 to move 7 minutes down the street. Is my house big? No, it’s 1,800 2 bed and an office moving only a few large pieces as we are leaving a lot behind such as dining table/chairs, sofa. I kid you not I was beyond shocked to receive such a high quote for less than 5 hours of work. I thought it was a mistake and received quotes from other Lehigh valley movers. I just moved into my home for $890. College hunks was quoted $800-$1,200. $3,370 you can happily kiss my bottom*.

11/1/22 Response: It is extremely disheartening to see a prior customer from 2020 post a negative review in 2022 (2 years later) for a matter that was fully addressed in 2020 by both our company and our attorney. Ms.
Moved 25% of my belongings for over $3000, spent more time smoking cigarettes on the truck then packing my boxes into the truck. Ended up using 6 men and 2 trucks only packed 5% of the other truck. Dont let them rip you off too.

We are so happy with our decision to use shively for our moving. Communication from the office was great. We had 6 movers and they were all friendly, polite, hard working and efficient. It was a heat warning and it didn’t slow them down. They was amazing.
