Although I imagine random price hikes are par for the course with storage units, I wanted to share my experience for anyone looking to jump on the discounted move in specials: The unit I rented a year and a half ago was $25/month. I just closed it out at $145 per month. They give notice per their policy, which is about two weeks notice every few months. I didn’t move my things into storage intending to move them out so I obliged for a time as it went to $50, then $100, then $150.

While i will give the store manager chris a 3 star rating as he was very polite and tried to remedy the storage unit but just said sorry there's nothing I can do about the fee, but i couldnt afford the bigger unit! star review i will give a 0 star review for the company. I got charged a $29 administration fee for canceling my unit rental because when I got here to check out my unit and check in there is no way on earth a 1 bedroom appointment stuff will fit in this unit.

I went here because I was moving. I needed a place big enough, and this 12 × 20 unit fit the bill. They told me they were going to be remodeling. That concerned me, but they said it wasn't going to affect the main building. If it was, I would have looked elsewhere. I moved my stuff to the unit in June of 2020. Towards the end of July, I started receiving mail stating I would have to be out by August due to the remodeling. They lied to me right from the beginning. The person I worked with to get the unit was Shawn.

These reviews are padded!!! Changed my previous review from 5 to 1 star. The prices hiked immediately after moving in and again later in the year and they never notified. I think these reviews are heavily padded and you should go to Yelp for the real reviews!! (Previous review) Shawn was fantastic! Made move a LOT less stressful! I feel like I made the right choice going with Storage Mart!!

Looks nice on the outside but once you are in then they will price gouge you! I was told when I signed up that rent increases occurred every 12 months. I have had 3 in 9 months with the current increase over $100! None of these places …

Have used Storage Mart for around 7 years. The Manager, Chris, does everything you would ever like in a storage facility- keeps the place clean, neat, protected, secure, and nice looking. I have been very happy to call the place “my garage” . Chris goes above and beyond to look after his renters- he’s a natural at this business. Only place to use around Carmel. No questions!

Safe space, clean, and staff is responsive and nice. Chris has been great to work with. Only thing to keep in mind for long term planning, which I think is prob typical of most storage spaces, is the introductory price you start with won't stay forever. Prices increase every 6-12 months, sometimes substantially.
