I will never use this moving company again. They hire workers that don't speak much English. There workers are slow at moving and ask questions on how furniture can fit in the truck. The Owner is rude and likes to argue with customers. I have sent multiple people to this company, and I will never send anyone else again. They will never get any more money off my likeliness or word of mouth. They are high and charge crazy amounts of money. The owner stopped answering my calls and text until the assignment was done.

We hired Sweet Home Movers to move our living room and dining room to a storage unit while our floors were being refinished. When the furniture was brought back to our home after the floors were finished, we noticed damage to our Ethan Allen dining table and buffet and some of our leather furniture. All had scratches, especially the dining pieces, there were big gauges in the dining table and scratches on the buffet. It did not appear that the piece were wrapped in moving blankets that we specifically paid for.

Never again! The movers THREW my belongings into the storage unit and slammed the door. When I went there alone to get a few things everything fell on top of me because my items were held in place by the door. I had to purchase another storage unit because the first one was not organized and I still had items to move. I asked the owner, David, if he could help me since I had to get another storage unit due to his movers. All he was willing to take off was 10%.

I had really enjoyed the experience. They seemed professional, at first, and moved really fast. Everything was going great until it was time to move my items into the storage unit. Everything made it into the storage unit besides my PlayStation 5, that miraculously didn’t make it in the unit. I inquired where it was, and then it magically appeared “under a blanket” inside of their truck. It seemed like a blatant attempt to steal it . That’s sad because I even tipped them before realizing the scheme.

Movers underestimated the time needed and I had to pay more than expected. For a Chicago moving company they sure had no idea what to do for parking in the city. Sat for 30 minutes (paid to do nothing) waiting for a group of guys that didn't speak English to call "Daviti" to make sure they could park in a paid spot. I told them I would pay for the spot so they would start and they just ignore me. Can't really recommend this company unless you're desperate.

We recently used Sweet Home Movers Chicago for our move from a 4-bedroom house, and I honestly can't say enough good things about them. The crew showed up on time, handled our furniture and belongings with care, and worked efficiently throughout the day. After everything had already been unloaded, we realized we needed to move a very heavy double-sink bathroom vanity from the garage up to a second-floor bathroom.
