Not a pleasant experience. I have moved many times over the years, and hired many companies. The cost was over 30% higher than quoted, and there was damage to items. When discussing with the company, there were no solutions to the issues except a small discount on the overall cost.
Very disappointing experience overall. The movers showed up late, rushed through the job, and didn’t handle my belongings with care. Communication was poor from start to finish, and I felt ignored when I raised concerns. Definitely not a service I would use again or recommend.

Do not use this moving company. I have moved several times in my life and this has been the worst moving experience I’ve had. They can’t be professional movers. I feel like they picked up cheap laborers from Home Depot. They don’t wrap your furniture for moving with moving pads until it’s on the truck which doesn’t protect your furniture. Several pieces of our furniture got damaged because of it. They didn’t pack and unpack the truck/house in an organized .
I chose this company because of their 5-star rating, but the service we received did not live up to the company’s reputation. I was asked to provide 60 moving blankets and three rolls of plastic wrap. The crew only used about 20 blankets and none of the wrap. We have scratched wood furniture, scraped appliances, scratched walls, and dirty couches and chairs. I suspect we will find more damage when we go through our boxes.
Can’t believe these positive reviews. No way!! The worst moving experience ever! Moving crew were very much amateurs that obviously paid by the hour milking as much time as possible. Wrapped items that didn’t need to be wrapped: ie a lamp shade had been wrapped 20 times. They took apart things that didn’t need to be taken apart / again to milk more time. I have more example of why to avoid this company but I think you get my take. Stay away from this moving company.

September 26, 2025 I’ve moved more times than I’d like to admit, and I can honestly say this was one of the best experiences yet. The team arrived right around 6:00 AM and worked straight through until 10:00 PM without missing a beat. Their stamina and dedication were remarkable. From the moment they stepped in, you could tell they cared about doing a great job. They were professional, courteous, and incredibly organized.
Hi Canelo281, Wow, reading your review absolutely made our day! We’re thrilled to hear that our team could make your moving experience one of the best yet. Starting early and going the extra mile really does pay off when we hear feedback like yours.
So grateful that Google led me to Tera Moving (and Enrique). This is a reliable company that will give you quality service at a good price. I 100% recommend using Tera Moving. My full experience below: Enrique is not only professional, but is also very kind. Within a couple of hours of initial contact, he came out to assess my situation and sent me a quote thereafter. It took me almost 2 months to get back to him, I was waiting on feedback from our HR, but he was very patient with me, checking in periodically.
Hi Ngapuikue Yolanda Mb, Wow, reading about your experience really put a smile on our faces! We're thrilled to know that Enrique and the team could make your moving process a little easier during such a busy time. It's great to hear that everything went smoothly, even with you being out of state.
Tera Moving Services was exceptional to work with on our recent move from downtown Houston to Richmond. This company was recommended from the Stack moving box team (also recommend) and from the initial email to the final close out of the move we had excellent service. Scott came out to our home to estimate the cost of the move and then we were able to promptly schedule for the following week. The moving team was a delight to work with.
Hi Julie, We’re thrilled to hear that you had such a positive experience with our team during your move from downtown Houston to Richmond! It's fantastic to know that Scott and our moving crew made the process smooth and enjoyable for you.
I have moved over 25 times in my life and Tera Moving and the crew I had with Carlos was by far the best movers ever . They were so considerate , kind , helpful and worked hard continually all the while with a smile on their face and very polite . Even my neighbors were like we want their name and use this company when need to move . They were just a delight even in this extreme heat . I may have to move again in a year and I will be calling Tera Movers and asking for Carlos and his team .
Denise, reading your thoughtful review absolutely made our day! Hearing that our team—especially Carlos and his crew—stood out as the best movers you’ve ever worked with means the world to us.
