Too many damages. Very unprofessional. My belongings were loaded on a Allied Truck. Was assured it would not be moved. Guess what it came in a U Hall truck. Plenty of room for large trucks to delivery. He said it was his Discretion. However, different van lines had no problems.
The individual who did the initial estimate was fine, although inaccurate in his estimate of the total weight. Local team never showed up the day they were scheduled. After several calls they came the following day. Third party service …
Sorry to hear of your moving experience. Although we are your local Allied Agent another Allied Agent was assigned to pack and bring your household goods across the country to Idaho. The Driver assigned was to pack and load your items but ended up calling us to do the packing.
I would never recommend this moving company. The experience was unprofessional and careless. They didn’t bother wrapping my furniture properly—my couch cushions were literally falling off as they carried it and were put into the truck completely unwrapped. The movers also kept complaining about heavy items, which made the whole process feel uncomfortable and unprofessional. They also caused damage and then tried to hide.
As in a previous review, they did not wrap our bedroom furniture prior to loading. We even heard them bang it and then they had the audacity to list it as Pre-Existing Damage. They could not have the integrity to point that this out on the paperwork when I signed unfortunately. Yes, this falls on us but the furniture is barely two years old and we knew its condition.
I have been waiting for 6 weeks for delivery of my new furniture that has been in their warehouse for month now. They blamed the delivery wait on snow storms which never happened and on the fact that i live to far out to be profitable. I had been scheduled for delivery between 12pm and 4pm which didnt happen. The lack of communication is unreal. I'm extremely displeased with the whole ordeal. No words other then I would never ever recommend this company.

Don't go with The Ideal Move or Allied! They trashed my furniture and ripped up the new vinyl flooring that had just been put down in my apartment. They jerked me around regarding filing a claim, and after more than 3 months they paid me …

The Ideal Move was ideal! They did an outstanding job moving me from upstate New York to Florida. They were prompt, efficient, and best of all, I could always get in touch with someone when I had questions. The price was reasonable, and there were no surprises on my bill after the move. I could not be more pleased with Ideal Move! We were moving from upstate NY to FL. Kelly first came to our house to assess what we had and assured me that we would be in good hands. I needed bars for the 2 wardrobe boxes I had and she told me I could go to the warehouse and get them - no problem. At the warehouse, a gentleman immediately went and got the bars I needed. I also met Miriah, my move coordinator, who was a joy to work with. She was pleasant (funny), accommodating, and efficient.

Joe and Rock from The Ideal Move helped move me recently. They were fantastic. Moving is always stressful and they helped take the stress right out of it. I’ve moved several times over the years and this was maybe the best moving company I’ve ever used. Nothing was broken, damaged, or missing. Joe and Rock were friendly, fast, and even got out of their truck to help me unload my car before they left when they saw I was struggling to carry items (I had loaded that myself and planned to unload it too).
