A coworker and I moved from SD to FL and experienced a severe lack of communication from Chad (company owner) through the moving process and paid for services that were not fulfilled. When I shared my concerns and wanted to discuss reimbursement for services not provided with Chad, I got no reply. • I received little to no communication from Chad regarding the truck’s progress, expected arrival time, and delays. One of the moving trucks broke down day 1 of the move and my household goods were delayed by 24 hours.
They moved my belongings into one unit at RCS Rapid City. My unit at RCS. Locked open. Gate open. No one in the office. lol. Idiots. Over 100k stolen. So be aware
Our move with the company was 5/29/25.Moving in general is STRESSFUL!! We did not have a scheduled time. We were told sometime in the afternoon. We were ok with that. However, we were not updated at all during the day. I called several times to the company with no answer. My husband even drove to the business to see if they had closed. The office was closed but it looked to still be in business. FINALLY, around 4pm a call from the movers they were finishing up and would be there to move us! GREAT!!
Was given wrong information on pricing to move a gun safe. Was told $260 total for two hours. Come to find out, it was $260/hour and a minimum two hours. So we paid $520 to move a gun safe 3 miles down the road. They attempted to call the office lady and she didn’t answer. Had I known, I would have had them move more stuff from my old house to new house. Information was not communicated well. Would not use them again.
The guys moving things did a good job, except they broke our expensive TV in transit. The issue is with management. They chose not to call back and discuss unreasonable billing hours and damages to furniture. They chose to let us eat the …

I'm sorry you had this experience with us. I would like to chat with you and get some more information. I did try calling you a few times. If you could give us a call and ask for Chad I would appreciate it. Thank you and again I'm extremely sorry. This is not how we try and run our business.
I don’t know if it was because I was moving out of state or what the problem was, but they don’t return calls . After 3 calls to them, I gave up!!
Not sure if they’re in business anymore. Nobody answered the phone, so I left a voicemail message and never received a return call.
I'm sorry Jim that you did not recieve a call back. We had phone issues for almost 3 weeks and hopefully got the main kinks out. Have to love technology. If you would give us a call at your convinence we would sure like to help you out and we will will give you a discount due to the incontinence.

Chris, Edgar and Korey moved my furniture from my apartment to my late mother's house today. They were right on time and immediately got to work. There are several decorations and pictures on the walls of my mom's house and the guys were very careful - not one thing got bumped even! I have 2 very old antique pieces of furniture - one an old cobbler's bench with very fragile legs - and they handled everything with such care, nothing got damaged.

I hired The Moving Guys, even though they were the high bid for my cross-state move from WY to UT, because they were the nicest and most responsive over the phone and I immediately trusted Chad. I had high expectations which were mostly met, and the few hiccups in the moving process were taken care of to my satisfaction. Very nice and responsible workers!
We are seniors and really got behind our packing schedule. I called and asked them for help and they really saved the day. So friendly, fast, and efficient. I could not have gotten the job done without them. I highly recommend them for all their services.
Amazing service from the start. Local family company that did an amazing job! I got ripped off from another company online then found The Moving guys. They moved me from Rapid City to Florida and was very nervous but they did a fantastic job!
