We hired Thumbs Up because of their great ratings. Well, prepping to move a dresser, they broke the mirror. Then they broke a marble top table. After arriving, we found a rip in the sofa, pieces of furniture that had rubbed while in transit, 3 dimples in the front of my brand-new freezer, gouges on the top of my hutch, and a broken drawer on my 1892 sewing machine cabinet. We hired Thumbs Up Moving Labor for loading services. Unfortunately we were quite disappointed with the experience, mostly around the helpers not operating efficiently (e.g. taking two people to lift every single piece of furniture, even items that were not heavy), and not packing the van well, causing us to scramble at the end to fit items in. Comparing this to the folks we hired to help unload it was a world of difference with how quickly and independently they operated.

The owner of "Thumb's Up"called me after reading my bad review. He wanted to figure out why his 2 employees did such a bad job loading my sister's household into the U-Haul truck. He was very apologetic and felt badly that so many items were damaged. His company usually does a great job, he said, and this was most unusual. He agreed to give my sister a refund of $220, which was a little more than half the cost to help make up for the damages.

+Thumbs up movers did a great job packing 3 containers for a long-distance move. Everything went well, the movers looked like they were taking good care of belongings and new how to pack a container tightly. I had them over on three different occasions, there was a scheduling issue one day but everything worked out in the end. I would use thumbs up movers again without hesitation
