The rating breakdown

Worked out from 45 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.

In their own words
John is THE perfect 🎹 man, in every respect. I have never seen anyone detail the inner workings of a piano, like I did today. I was actually astounded at what he did … and all that he knew! He’s also polite, on-time, efficient and his pricing is very reasonable. He might even play a song when he’s finished tuning. And you can hear the beautiful tones he created with your keyboard. Absolutely amazing. Thank you, John, for a great experience today. 🎶
If you are fortunate enough to have found John Tonyan, your piano is in the best hands possible. John brought my 1915 Steinway Grand back to life. It had stuck keys, broken strings, tuning issues, worn keytops, and many other problems. After just the first visit, the transformation was incredible. Each session since then has continued to impress me. The tone, dynamics, and feel of the piano are now truly captivating. I cannot walk past it without being drawn to play.
Have 2 grands that haven't been touched in 20 to 30 years. I didn't understand the complexity of a piano, all the moving parts and how a really skilled man as John is explained all the workings of the pianos. Wow!!! A completely different and beautiful sound that came from the piano after his expert knowledge. Donna and I are so very happy. We decided to have John to get them in a reasonable or better than the sound we were getting.
Wow, Gordon. Thanks so much for the glowing review! It truly is a joy to see instruments like yours, that have languished over the decades, suddenly play and sound beautiful. AND, that this has encouraged you to play more - I'm so pleased! Look forward to our next session.
I had the privilege of having John Tonyan work on my piano and I do believe it was a privilege. John taught me so much about the workings of my piano. It was fascinating and educational. And after a few hours of work the piano sounded like a completely different instrument. He explained what he was doing and why. It feels so much better to play, not to mention how much better it sounds. My husband came in after John had worked on it for a bit and was amazed at the difference in sound quality.
