Not only was a move that was only an a 3 bedroom home almost 2 thousand dollars and 2 days to move, but then the movers tried to state they used the full 10 hours when they clearly rushed the job. Also boxes were CLEARLY opened and retaped from our packed items, items were STOLEN and since we could not afford to pay the EXTRA 350 for "full insurance" their idea of compensation for loss of over 750 dollars of stolen and broken products is 24 dollars!!! DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE!!!
Fry-Wagner was recommended to me by a friend that used them previously. In the beginning everyone was very helpful and informative. They sent someone out to my house to provide an estimate prior to my move. The estimate seemed very accurate and fair. I moved from MO to TX on July 29th and have not heard from the moving company once. It stated in my contract that my belongings would be delivered on August 17th.
Awful communication and service even when my parents were supposed to get VIP service from an upper executive of Fry-Wagner. Fry-Wagner packed the house into one truck and called my parents two days later saying they split it into two trucks -- no notice of the possibility of this action was ever given. The delivery window to the new house was June 8-11.
I used this company for my out of state move, had a gentleman by the name of Travis come out an estimate how much furniture I had based on weight. He estimated over 5100 pounds, at a cost of $6490 for everything, at the time I didn’t know he was over estimating and why. When the packers and loader came out they told me my weight was not close to 5100 pounds.
I want to say 1st that the guys were very nice. I had to moved into a storage unit until by place was ready ONLY had that night to inspect all the items from 2 full truck loads. I ask them tell me if they damaged anything so I would know and not be surprised I was SURPRISED when I finally was able to move. So much damage to my item's I just wanted to scream. Scratched, dented, broken item's just not acceptable. Not a happy customer at all they needed to speak up and be more careful with everyone item's.
