Two Men and a Truck Moving and Storage

These people are here to rip you off. Price for one bedroom move jumped from 250$ to 350$ without justifications. They were 3 hours late and they damaged some of my furniture and didn't even bother themselves to offer compensations . Never again.

I can't say that I would recommend Two Men and a truck. Both guys cussed a lot (just in normal conversation, not when moving heavy items), scuffed up our wall in spots. At one point at the end of the move, the main driver was sitting in our kitchen watching my 12yr old daughter and I try to move/unbox a heavy fireplace/tv console by ourselves, and looked annoyed that we were not signing his paperwork. In the beginning of the move they disassembled two beds.

I recently contacted this company to move an upright piano, one sofa and one dresser. Everyone at the office whom I spoke to was extremely nice and efficient. They were very good about reminding me of my appointment, questions etc. why the two stars? Few different reasons. When I was given my quote no one communicated to me that price per hour (195$) was port to port. That means you are paying the movers 50$ just to drive 30 minutes to your house before any work is done.

Never again will I use or EVER recommend this company to anyone ever. Issue #1: When you schedule a move they ask you for a list of all of your stuff, fair enough, they need to know how big of a truck to bring. The CSR that wrote down my list however WAY underestimated. We gave her a complete list and they only brought a single truck when they probably could have filled 2 full trucks.

I engaged the service to move two dressers and and a bed frame from the upstairs to the basement. I was told over the phone that the cost would be approx $150/hour and the estimate was for 1-1.5 hours, which seemed reasonable. I estimated I would pay no more than $200 for the work. I was called at 12:45 to let me know they were on there way. They arrived at approximately 1:45pm. They spent about an hour and fifteen to thirty minutes moving the furniture.

We would not recommend using Two Men and a Truck out of Ann Arbor. We used their services last weekend and were very disappointed. While they showed up on time and were very polite during the whole move, no one seemed to really be in charge. This lack of leadership or direction from the crew as a whole caused the truck to be poorly loaded and certain important items nearly left behind. The top half of the two trucks were virtually empty.

We had moved with Two Men before and had no troubles. This particular move was horrible. When we moved previous, we moved across state lines and had two apartments worth of stuff to load and unload- the total move time was longer this time than last and we had everything ready to go and were moving 8 miles down the road. The movers were texting on their phones, drinking their coffee, making trips to the truck with nothing in their hands...they could not have moved any slower if they tried. They were awful.

This is the last time I will ever use "2 Men and a Truck" this company. The crew had started putting my things in the truck, when they heard that there was a pest control unit going through every apartment checking for bugs. They became hysterical, called their boss and were ready to drop everything and live me in a lurch. I lived on the third floor, and the pest control had started from the 11th floor with a dog that was going around sniffing for bugs.
