Made a reservation for a 24hour rental and because I was 2 hours late to pick up they gave my rental away to someone who had no reservation. Alex and Steven were both rude. Alex said he had another truck he could rent me until 4pm (full 24 …
Price was not what you advertise and post. Not even close. Rented a van for two days OVER $160! Now I not only did it cut into my tent but the remainder of my unpaid balance is being sent to collections. I also had left the key inside accidentally and had to pay for a third party to open the door because roadside wanted to charge me $210 just to come out. Couldn't just bring the spare FOB and unlock it. Groceries were inside too. Administration fee, really?
The company changed our pick up location without notifying us! This wasted a ton of our time, and made it so we couldn't finish our job in time. Ended up working til after dark and then had to take time off work the next day to drive to the further location for the return. The site rep at La Habra didn't even acknowledge that we could be correct about the pickup location on the reservation. No concern for the customer at all!! Apparently now we have to spend more time on the phone with a customer service rep.
Under new management. I refuse to use this location again after 10 years of using this location 3 times per year for a minimum of 3 days each use. $300 to $400 each use. Very condescending and refuse to adjust my charge with a faulty lock. I am 73 and had to demand the truck was retrieve from its parking location. Refuse my loyalty milage discount i received for being a loyal repeat ANNUAL CUSTOMER previous years. never again. I am done with this location.
Except for the manager, most of the employees working in this location doesn't now much about how their equipment works and couldn't explain it well to their customers! I need to bring someone with me who knows how the U-Haul truck equipment works especially the auto trailer! The employee could not even guide me properly so that the vehicle could be loaded evenly!
Just had the worst experience while getting propane. Young kid was very unprofessional. Didn't say hello, didn't remove propane from scale and just walked away mumbling something under his breath. Zero personality and zero customer service skills. A total waste of my time with this place!

David was awesome. Great service, fast and friendly. Would definitely rent from here again.
The service was great. But this location was busy! Manager friendly despite wearing several hats all at once. We had a local mid-week rental. When we called to let them know we would be a little late returning the truck, the call was answered by the national office. National said we were to have had the truck back by 8am. We picked it up at 10: 15 am, thinking it was a 24 hour day. National automatically charged up another day.
The person that helped us was amazing (I’m sorry I don’t remember his name). Our house burnt out and he was so understanding. We were even able to laugh for a bit and made me forget about the nightmare I’m going through. Thank you that meant the world for me.
This location is now one of my favorites. Always clean and the trucks always run great. You can totally tell the effort for remarkable service here. I appreciate the staff very friendly. This makes a big difference. 5 stars to the staff.
