U-Haul Moving & Storage at Rockdale Ave

Awful experience. The associate was alone and inexperienced, which is not his fault, but needed to call his manager for each customer before us. The manager (Lorenzo) gave him short, unhelpful answers, and we waited 45 minutes for service. It was 9:30 AM. THE KICKER is that, although they had the equipment we needed and had reserved more than a week prior to the pickup date, they would not give it to us. They said somebody else had it reserved for later in the day.

Edited: I was able to get the money refunded by disputing through my bank. I will be dealing with this unit as needed but I wanted everyone to know not to stand for this rogue manager’s bullying and tactics and don’t let him illegally steal your money! OG Post: HORRENDOUS customer service. Lorenzo is never an absolute pleasure to deal with, but this past week he really tried his best to give the worst possible customer service. I’ve been sharing a large unit at this location with another person for almost 3 years.

Person running this location had ZERO customer service skills. After waiting 6 minutes to be "verified" via the app check in process I asked if he could just do it. I was rudely told to "just be patient" and that it would "take some time but eventually go through" and that he couldn't check me in any other way. I asked if this was a new process, as every other uhaul place just takes my license, taps a few keys on the keyboard, and has me on my way.

The verification process on the app isn't very good, I attempted to verify my identity for 3 hours before I finally got it to work. I spent 90 mins on hold in total after being hung up on 2 times by your phone system before finally speaking to someone to resolve the issue. I was meant to rent the truck at 8pm, however, I had to reschedule to 7am because of so many issues.

Staff at gas station were barely helpful and person they directed me to on the phone who is responsible for rentals at this location was VERY rude at best. Ended up canceling reservation and going to another U-Haul agency about a mile away at 105 Rockdale Ave and they were GREAT there. Only gave 1 star as could not give less.
