The rating breakdown
3 of the 43 ratings in Google’s published star breakdown for U-Pack are one or two star.
Worked out from 43 ratings. That is enough to publish but few enough that one more review moves it noticeably, so read it as a hint rather than a measurement.
Against other listings in Dayton
1.9 percentage points higher than the middle of the 19 listings in Dayton we can publish a rate for.

Had to cancel my trip, so I had to get a hold of them on a Saturday. Of course they have no after hours number, the only person you can talk to is a agent that will book things. We did get a hold of the dock person at the terminal so we were hoping the shipment wouldn't go any further to cost us more, they were willing to hold it and have it turned around.
We're sorry to hear about your experience, Jennifer, and we would like to look into this further for you. Would you mind sending your reference number to us at [email removed] along with any additional information? Thank you, Brooke D.
Estimating how much space we would need was terrible, UPack estimated 17 feet and our belongings did not fit into a 28 foot trailer so we are having to make a second trip. When they delivered the trailer to the destination they did not include a ramp and since we were unloading on a Saturday there was no one to help us or get one to us. The movers had to take all of our belongings off without a ramp, which cost us extra time with the movers. When I called on Monday the rep casually said "Well, that's optional.
Thank you for taking the time to leave us this feedback, DeNita. We're glad to hear that your delivery was on time on both ends, and we will share your overall service comments with our teams for further review.
They assured us on the phone our driveway would not be a problem. "Our drivers are professionals " they said. 3 days before our move they cancelled saying they don't go on gravel driveways. It cost us money for the crew we had to cancel on and we had to forfeit the sale of the house as we could not be moved in time...horrible customer service and belligerent attitude on the phone. They've made it obvious they do not care about the customer.

The same method, applied to the four and five star reviews. Most movers are praised for the same handful of things, so what is missing here is often as telling as what is present.

Most pleasant moving experience and I’ve moved a lot in last 3 years! I used this service twice within last 6 months relocating from NJ to Ohio. I highly recommend! Customer service is pleasant, helpful, and responsive - couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Any changes I made to my reservation or questions I had were handled immediately. No leaving a voicemail and hoping your call was returned. Joe, in dispatch, helped make sure my delivery was received quickly And the drivers were friendly.
U Pack overall was a great service and great value. We moved from SC to OH and was very surprised at the cost compared to other trailer/pod companies. The drivers are also very prompt and on time or ahead of schedule. The only negative I will say is, they probably drive a little rough. I made sure to pack everything very tight and use lots moving blankets etc. and we still had damage to some furniture. Minor things, but annoying nonetheless. We would use U Pack again but use even more blankets!
I recently had the pleasure of using U-Pack for my cross-country move, and I couldn't be more impressed. From start to finish, the entire process was smooth and stress-free. The customer service team is exceptional. They were incredibly helpful, providing clear and detailed information about the moving process. Their willingness to go above and beyond to answer questions and offer valuable tips was truly appreciated. The pricing is transparent and competitive, with no hidden fees.
Thank you for trusting us with your cross-country move, Charles! We're glad we could make it easier, and we hope you enjoy your new home.
I used AFB transportation aka UPack moving truck for my recent move and I was very satisfied with their service. The moving truck set up was easy to schedule, prep for, and use. The drop off and pick ups at each of the locations were perfect, and the provided bulkhead and ramp worked wonders for getting our stuff where we needed and secured. The truck was spacious and clean, and the staff was friendly and helpful.
Thank you for trusting us with your move, Rebecca! We're glad the drop-off and pickup went perfectly, and we hope you enjoy your new home.
