In their own words
Took nearly twice as long and $500 more than I was quoted. I paid for the Full Value Protection and upon unpacking discovered my TV was not functioning. When I contacted them regarding the TV, I was told they refused to accept liability for the damage, and they have since stopped responding. Shady business practices and would not use them to move again. **Edit** I have added pictures of the interactions for full transparency on my end.
Deirdre, we sorry to see this. We pride ourselves on customer service and strive to exceed our customers expectations. We assure those reading this that nothing "shady" happened here. Unfortunately, the television in question wasn't boxed prior to our teams arrival.
This was a terrible moving experience, and I would not recommend Two Dudes Moving to anyone for any purpose. First, I received a $1000 estimate for a "service" for which I was ultimately charged $1700. They were only moving me out of a 1200 sq ft, single story ranch house (the estimate was for six hours-- they ultimately took TWELVE HOURS and still did not get all of my personal items moved from my tiny ranch house).

The employees did a good job moving, but the company itself tricks you into paying for insurance that they will ultimately fail to honor. I called to complain about a piece of furniture being broken during the move (I expected at least something to break, so the $100 for insurance seemed like a no-brainer), and they said someone would follow up with me. They followed up, came to check the damaged furniture out, and the manager mentioned he'd have to check with his owner.

I used this company on 2 different occasions in November. The personnel were professional and polite. I paid extra for 100% insurance coverage. They scraped my driveway and damaged the lower corner of my chest freezer and I let that go, but when they moved my clothes dryer the drum shifted and when turned on made an awful noise. I had Mr. Appliance come see about repairs and was quoted $364.90 for repairs after the $94.34 for the service call and estimate.
I am the 3rd party installer of the TV that Deridre M. called these people out on. I take personal offense to being accused of damaging the unit. I have the integrity to own up to my errors. If the TV was delivered the way it was picked up, it would have worked. The $100 "extra" insurance was a scam. Not the only report of this not being paid. Also, no mention of the $500 over estimate charge in their response. This outfit is NOT GOOD!
We requested a walkthrough and the van size THEY estimated was too small. Too bad for us, nothing they could do. I had to recruit family members to fill their cars with what was left. Asked them afterward to get what they'd left in the garage and they told me they would for $100 hour. Also took a chunk out of my living room wall. Very distressing. I'm very suspicious of these positive reviews...
Hi Justin, I’m sorry to hear you were dissatisfied with your move. Customer service is of the utmost importance to us. Our crew was told at the load site that the items left in the garage were mostly for donation and trash and they were given the ok to leave them behind.
Way over priced for very average service. The owner promised an adjustment would be made based on actual goods moved…barely 45 minutes on each and loading and unloading…added an additional $100 insurance fee at the point of pick up. Like I said, over priced for mediocre performance.

I don’t even want to give them one star. I have no idea how could they move so slow, and using the cell phone during they are working (speak to someone and play the game)

Phenomenal service! I received a recommendation for 2 Dudes Moving from my realtor and other realtors in her brokerage. Reading the reviews online, I knew immediately that this was the moving company for me. They were extremely professional from beginning to end. 2 Dudes did an amazing job for us at a great price. They unloaded two U-Haul U-Boxes, went above and beyond helping us with the washer and dryer, were easy to work with, and were very careful with all of our stuff. Truly can't go wrong!

Moving is already such a stressful time...why not take some stress out of it by choosing Two Dudes Moving. Staring with your conversation with Adam, who explains all details, then moving onto your actual movers who are courteous, professional and hard working, this was the best decision we made! Our choice to use Two Dudes started with a piano. Everywhere we called wanted to charge us an extra $150 just for that. Ouch! When my move crew showed up (Lucas and Bennett) they were the epitome of professional.

I have utilized 2 Dudes Moving a number of times when I was living in Lexington. I utilized their service when I moved to Lexington for my undergraduate degree at UK, when I moved from Lexington for my master's degree, and then again when I moved back to Lexington for my PhD. I used their services for a local move (within Lexington circle) and just their services to unload or load my Penske truck because I was doing out of state moves. They have the best prices in town in comparison to other companies.
