My 3 Sons Moving - Winchester

I just called to inquire about some damaged/missing furniture and was basically verbally assaulted by a girl named Brittany who, unfortunately, answered the phone. My elderly mother had to move out of necessity on June 7 and was told by someone named “Ryan” at the end of the process to pay whatever she could. She was quoted at $1,400 dollars and she paid $1,500. That check was cashed almost immediately.

I hired My 3 Son's moving, after they gave me the least expensive quote for my move. They showed up late; we scheduled for 1230pm, and they arrived at 3pm. In their defense, they did squeeze me in last minute, but never reached out to me to let me know about the delay (I had to call). They never called to let me know they were on the way, so it was a surprise.

They will destroy your things and WILL NOT COMPENSATE.... Most unprofessional moving company ever. They tell you they CANNOT carry flammable items, smelly items or PAINT. We NEVER WANTED PAINT MOVED. We had several cans in our basement of old paint we left for the new owners. Oh their guys decided to grab ONE half used can of paint with a kid barely on. They places it in a small basket....Loaded it with my furniture....and of course, you can only guess what happened as that rolled around in their truck!!!

Manager will not return my phone call regarding a local move that costed double the quote, furniture soiled, two new men that didn’t have enough experience (new) with lead guy apparently not guiding them and sick in the bathroom for an hour while workers stood still at truck. They were exhausted when they arrived and perhaps workers shouldn’t work two long moves in one day! Spent a great deal of time talking near the truck. Didn’t tell us we needed TVs boxed and computer therefore they didn’t transport.

UPDATE- I used this company again, and had a terrible experience. The movers were different- damaged over 30 items; furniture missing chunks of wood, broken lamps/well wrapped, items shattered from beibg dropped or thrown, etc. Manager kept no- call no-show when he said he'd come look for insurance purposes. I weighed each item and sent detailed pictures as he instructed. The insurance they tell they have is .10/pound of damaged items. I had 380lbs of damaged things- the manager said he'd give me $55.00.

Initially I weren’t going to write any review however I felt the necessarily to after some thought. One of big issue that triggered this review is that nothing (literally none of my furnitures or mattresses) were wrapped before the moving by the mover. I need to mention that I were told on phone that the mover will come equipped with wrappers and bubbles to wrap any furnitures or mattresses.

Do not recommend. I was charged $218 an hour which is $60 more than what I was quoted. When I called to question the total cot, I was told it was for a 3rd person. I Did not ask for the third person , nor did I understand I was being charged more than the quote until the end when I paid the bill. They said it was in the contract but honestly who has time to read the small print on a tablet during a move. Common courtesy should be to just explain up front we have an extra person and there will be an extra charge.

Horrible company! Said they would arrive Saturday at 2pm and did not show until 630pm. Only sent 2 guys to pack a 3 bedroom house. Calls to their leadership went unanswered and unreturned. The workers had not had any breaks from 8am until after midnight. Had to load 1/3 of the truck myself because they were so tired they could barely walk. 2 people were hurt on the same day at other jobs because the leaders of the company did not staff appropriately. Very shameful leadership.
