In their own words
First, the gentlemen that showed up at the house to load and also unloaded were incredible. They were the only bright spot with our experience. The salesman that gave us our estimate underestimated and misquoted (2k less) than it ended up being. When we brought this to the attention of the founder (Jacob), he made pathetic excuses and was unprofessional to my wife. He took zero ownership of the misquote his salesman originally made and even accused us of adding more items to the move than was originally quoted.
Thank you for your time in writing this review. All of our long-distance clients are informed that the only time their bill could change would be if an additional truck is needed. Our crew and leadership team spent an entire day repacking the truck to try and make everything fit.
Boy, Talk about disappointing! The talk is great. They say all the right things, but when they hit a bit of "bumpy road" you'll see a whole different side! We had them pick up and store items while we "staged" our home for sale. Once the sale took place they brought our items back and we moved. During the unpacking process, we began noticing missing items. Some were very large pieces.
It is too bad that 1 star is the lowest we can rate them. This “white glove service” moved us several months back and severely damaged many things due to negligence and not following their own protocols. One of those things was a $6,000 bed that they didn’t wrap and therefore it was punctured by a bolt in the moving truck and got VERY dirty. Their “restoration worker” came to fix the silver dollar sized hole which has since reopened due to the less than premium quality of the work he did.
We chose this moving company hoping for a smooth and professional experience, but unfortunately our move turned out to be extremely disappointing and costly. First, the estimate we were given and the final amount we paid were drastically different. It became apparent that the individual who prepared our quote significantly underestimated both the time and the supplies required for the move. As a result, our final bill increased substantially and ultimately cost us as much as using a national moving carrier.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback, though we must clarify a few key points as our perspective on these events differs considerably. Our initial estimate was based on a 3-truck move into storage under the assumption that not all of your household items were to be included.
In an effort to protect their reputation and avoid a negative review online, 6th Man Movers reached out to me to request that I take down my review. However, they did not offer any assistance with completing my move until after I posted my feedback. They also failed to address the miscommunication on their part regarding my move and did not honor the original quoted rate for the number of hours required.
Samara, while we appreciate the time you put into this review, we have a different side of the story we would like to tell. On June 7th, we sent you an hourly, non-binding estimate for packing and moving a standard 1-bedroom apartment.
These movers tried to 'call it a day' at 4:30pm having delivered and partially assembled 2 out of 4 beds. After a long call with the boss, they went back for the other two beds but did not move a SINGLE ITEM of BEDDING over. When I asked where the bedding was, Tremaine informed me, without any concern or apology, that it was all at the other house. They left furniture unassembled, pieces missing from furniture, and severe damages to the piano and a table.
BUYER BEWARE. We hired 6th Man Movers to move from our 3800 sqft home. They sent a quote stating they would only need 3 movers and 8 hours to complete the move. I asked if they do onsite inspections prior and stated my verbal list of what needed moved would suffice. I offered to take a video of every room so they would have a better understanding. After seeing that video they acknowledged they were prepared. I received an updated quote later stating they only needed 2 movers and 8 hours.
UPDATE: After I posted my review I received a call from someone higher up (Christian). They took my complaint very seriously and mentioned that a lot of the basic services that were omitted should have been included. They sounded very sincere and mentioned they were going to follow up on this issue with their team to ensure other crews do not cut corners.

In their own words
Best moving experience ever with the two man crew of Jacob and Chase. They showed up on time and communicated every step of the way. Jacob and Chase worked their asses off to get our things moved from one apartment to another. They were so respectful and polite, efficient, and hard working. Chase and Jacob were also super easy to talk to and very personable. They both deserve a raise because of how professional and efficient they were! When everything was transferred, the company’s quote was accurate!
I moved within Nashville. I had great experience with 6th Man Movers. I will use them again if I need to relocate in future. I had a very good experience with 6th Man Movers. The team was professional, polite, and well organized throughout the process. They did a video call in advance to review the items and provide a quote, and the final price matched the quoted price with no surprises. Communication was excellent from booking through moving day.
I recently used 6th Man Movers for a local move and couldn’t be happier with the service. The team of Markins, Markinston, Gathen, and Rashad was outstanding from start to finish. They arrived right on time and quickly reviewed all the items that needed to be moved. They came fully prepared with plenty of boxes, tape, and padding for furniture, which made the whole process smooth and stress-free. It was a local move into a home that was still under renovation, so everything had to go into the garage.
We just used 6th Man to move us from Nashville to Minneapolis. The guys at 6th man were extremely professional and on top of things, especially David!! He kept us updated with texts as he drove our furniture from state to state. Our one con, and why we can’t give 5 stars, is because with cross-state moves, 6th man will contract out the unloading portion of the move to a 3rd party company. And this 3rd party company was so bad, they had no care for our house our our furniture. They damaged our trim and our walls.
