Fox Moving & Storage of Nashville

Update: was refused reimbursement for items they broke and again the office manager was exceptionally rude. Such a bad experience. I was quoted for 3 movers then only got 2 and the owner refused to communicate and office administrator was very rude. The gentleman moving my property were far from professional (showed up late then went to their vehicle to show up in my house with eyes blazing.) 1. The moving company was over an hour late and the movers did not call to update me on the delivery time. 2. I was forced to pay before unloading, although it was clearly communicated that payment would be due 30 minutes prior to departing Ridgeland. Then on the day of delivery it was changed? I called and spoke with the dispatcher and he was no help. Then an hour LATER the moving price was increased because of “packing fees”? Did you not know that fee was going to be increased on June 4?

We hired Fox Moving for our move back in August. And it has been a nightmare ever since. After they left my wife walked around the property and realized that they had not taken two of our big freezers and fridges that were out on the back porch. We had gone through the whole house and property and I made them aware of everything that they needed to take.

We used Fox over a year ago for our move to TN in February ‘23. It’s taken me this long to write a review and I still don’t have the appropriate words to describe how atrocious this move was. The majority of our stuff was damaged or broken. My favorite part is the completely broken king footboard, then the attempt to caulk it together on the truck before moving it inside, the denial when confronted about it and the streak of wet caulk left on the carpet.

We had multiple items damaged. Halfway through unloading we were told to pay or they would not unload the rest of our stuff. We have moved 4 times previously and every other time we paid when work was finished. Also multiple items were missing and I had to call daily to get them to look for them.

Everyone at Fox was very helpful when I was setting up my daughter's move in January. They helped pack and load her one bedroom apartment into a UHaul on January 13th. They did a nice job; however, she was overcharged by $195. Since the middle of January, I have contacted the office numerous times and have been given the runaround on the $195 credit. Chad was very friendly and responsive when I was setting up the job but has not been helpful since.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel people should know about my experience. We chose this company because the quote seemed reasonable. We live in a one-bedroom apartment, and before the movers arrived, we packed everything ourselves and consolidated most of our belongings into one area to make the move easier and faster. The move was only about five minutes away, yet it took four movers approximately 3 hours and 45 minutes to complete the job.

If I could give them 0 stars I would. This company was hired to move my family from Nashville to Medina TN. We had every box marked which room it was to be placed in the new home. We were not able to go with the movers but had a friend meet them to let them in the house. When we arrived at the new house a couple days later, we found the entire garage filled with all the boxes. They did not even attempt to put any boxes in the marked rooms.
